13/7/2021 16:37 | It is the packed out planes, sweaty crowds, smelly night clubs that can't last forever. It will take a very long time for people to work out how they ever wished to pack together in such grotesque conditions. Way back, people used to pack onto the beaches at Brighton, standing room only. Times change, people change. For the Super rich, executive jets and luxury yachts have been selling at record levels. Keeping away from the great unwashed, the virus spreading crowds, will be the big ambition. Crowds will be seen as a leper colonies for the nervous. | careful
13/7/2021 10:33 | I think the move to reduce restrictions in the whole is good, people need to learn to realise that life can't be the way it has been the last 18month forever. People will be itching to have a holiday abroad, the holiday companies left will have a great period of packed out planes, villas and hotels. Just be patient as this price is Tui on sale. Didn't think it would go any lower than 400 for where we are today so pretty good upside if you enter here. Will I hold when it goes over 500, maybe not as I prefer dividend stocks for long term holds. | slinkyj
13/7/2021 10:33 | once bitten1 - 'My two good friends' - really? That many? And still only 'once bitten'. Obviously you need to be chewed a few more times. Never going to be 'twice shy' are you? Why do you resort to such violent and vile language? Appalling. | groveman1
12/7/2021 08:51 | just because its a huge company and the market is complacent doesn't mean its not a huge risk.. just takes a few cards to fall and the vultures will be into the carcus..lots of lovely bits to get for pennies on the pound | snorkelparker
12/7/2021 08:47 | this is not streamlining. Sounds like just trimming the sails lol ..tui is in a full melt down soon it won't be able to pay them or other suppliers...it has huge billion dollar cash holes in the basic areas of its business ..robbed deposits and pushing AP against AR massively. If in was a large supplier looking at that dynamic unless I was going under without their business I would be tightening payment terms and credit.. i wouldn't want my cash as a holiday deposit bank rolling their cash hole. | snorkelparker
11/7/2021 17:54 | That's good for Tui, streamlining. I expect it will be shops and reps in red countries . I wouldn't expect anything less once furlough winds down. | slinkyj
10/7/2021 19:27 | TUI starting redundancy consultations. | donald t
09/7/2021 15:48 | Travel bookings surging I see! Good news | slinkyj
09/7/2021 15:21 | oh dear going South on a big up day for travel..especially jet2 and on volume ..facts are there..its now the slow death spiral to shareholder destruction. | snorkelparker
06/7/2021 18:33 | Looks like no quarantine from amber countries for the double jabbed. Hello 10% rise | drmaccers
02/7/2021 16:28 | Jet2 22 Aircraft launched today FINALLY start of recovery ? | once bitten1
30/6/2021 15:36 | Going to close the gap on 384 first. | slinkyj
30/6/2021 15:26 | No rhyme nor reason. I admit I'm lost !!Cannot fathom the complexities | once bitten1
30/6/2021 13:27 | Heading back to the 4's you mean. | slinkyj
30/6/2021 08:25 | In the 2's today | once bitten1
29/6/2021 11:49 | And just so you know there are 2 ways to lay up those ships not in use ..long term and short term and the cost starts at millions per month...no wonder they are doing round the UK cruises so cheap you are bascially doing them a favour. Their are so many systems they need to be run and maintained...it;s like a living thing you cannot just shut it down and start it up...aircraft are much cheaper to lay up and need minimal maintenance compared to a cruise ship | spinnereins
29/6/2021 11:40 | Aircraft re leased...hotels mortgaged i wager and the ships are financed some way or other....what was that about assets ? | spinnereins
29/6/2021 10:31 | 'like crypto with no intrinsic value' ? I would have thought it was exactly opposite. TUI are asset heavy, hotels, ships, aircraft. Crypto's are computer programme entities that only exist in cyberspace. You can see feel and touch TUI assets, but right now the ships are empty, aircraft grounded, hotels empty. Not good. Hard to imagine that crypto's have any value at all. A flow of cash into it drives it up, selling drives it down. It will be fun to read about this latest car crash in 10 years time. | careful
29/6/2021 09:17 | Spot on Spinnereins!! This is NOT a healthy company imho! Thing is I am/was a big fan of TUi, slick website, book and go....all stuff sent electronically....no need to sit lookig at the back of someone's computer screeen going...Well ok Rhodes 2 weeks 3 star Gatwick ..tap tap tap....but where we are now is the cash flow is destroyed...they have borrowed money hand over fist and done at least one rights issue to my knowledge i think there was talk of another....i don;t see any value here at all ! Not even at a quid.....to me the shares are pass the parcel and nobody wants to be holding the parcel when the music stops....so seems to me its a speculators share...perceived value bit like crypto but no intrinsic value.....i see the value brand infrastructure but i see no equity vs liabilities | spinnereins
29/6/2021 08:11 | And another lol | slinkyj
28/6/2021 16:54 | Got my low ball buy order in. Thanks traders. I think you are being a bit extreme Careful , I thought the day wouldn't come when we were not daily talking about Brexit and yet the day came. The breaking of the habit will be lead with the young first. Once they have their freedom the trend back to normality will come. I'm not old old, but I think I'd be brave enough to go to bars etc now I'm double vaxed. Imo | slinkyj |
