Take your existing ordinary shareholding (presuming it was purchased prior to going X rights at the close of trading last Thursday)and multiple by 0.862 ie 25 new for every 29 ordinary TUI held and you'll have the number of nil paid you will be assigned.Let's say you purchased 1000 shares at £5 early last week. The value of your holding would currently be 1000x 345p =£3450 plus 862 nil paid currently valued at around 230p = £1982 odd giving a total value of around £5500.Thus,you'd be up around 10% on your investment. So much for the doomsayers ....for now!

You have to wait. The notification is done manually by your broker's corporate action team and, if it's a decent broker, they're all over TUI right now but it still has to be actioned correctly.

The rights will be credited to your account on or around 12 January 2021.

Yes, I'm v happy so far. By the end of Jan the vaccine stats will be coming thick and fast. The 80 yr bracket should be fully jabbed up in next few days alone.

I think a lot have got rather confused here, with record dates,XR etc.Very simply, the shares are actually trading around 550p + in the old pre rights form if you made the calculation and added back the value of the nil paid received to the ordinary shares you hold.

Crazi, I do not think you have been on a plane when even 10 have been coughing and sneezing let alone 300. At the present time they have to wear masks and the majority of countries require you to have a PCR test within 72 hours of arrival to eliminate pax who may have virus.

Um....probably best that you decided against a career in advertising :)

“...the market is not stupid”..I have to question that statement.I think the market is invariably stupid and inexplicably feral.Take stocks like EMH and BCN (which I have held for a number of years through thick and thin)the former has risen fourfold and the latter three fold in around six weeks.Why?...Was there a sudden Damascene realisation that we might need lithium for electric vehicles. Then there’s the Wild West ride of cryptocurrencies. The stockmarket is often ridiculously pedantic, absurdly overoptimistic or overly pessimistic and lots of analysts crunching numbers cannot ensure that markets behave rationally.

Tomorrow the pain begins as the company has sold "half of itself" for 107. Market is not stupid. I reckon this Summer won't be as good as they thought either as vaccines are taking much longer to rollout and as the 2nd jab won't come for months thereafter many people just won't trust it as much.

I would love to go on hols in the Summer - but doubt we will be... stuck in a tin can for 5 hours with 300 people right next to me coughing and sneezing... hmmm no thanks :-)

Good luck!

This really smacks of Thomas Cook situation.. Massive debt .. Bad market and knock after knock .. GENUINELY HOPE NOT . Come on TUI !!! UK Government cannot intercede as they didn't with FLYBE or TCX. Market forces dictate ... Survival of the fittest .. On that basis not looking promising... Please let let this process / initiative work ( Shield , Vacinate)

It is pretty strange that the nil paid started trading in Germany last Friday but will not be trading London until tomorrow.I thought it would be today but no,that would be a bit speedy for the dear old LSE.

“The Company intends to provide for the Subscription Rights to be traded during the period from 12 January 2021 until 22 January 2021 on a multilateral trading facility of the London Stock Exchange. Subscription rights are also expected to be traded on the regulated market of the Hanover Stock Exchange and the Open Market segment of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The Company does not intend to apply for Subscription Rights trading on any other stock exchange.”

You can’t trade the rights until tomorrow and thus they are not transferable until the 12 Jan but as Typo says, the shares went xrights Thursday last at the the close of trading.

simonlevert, they went ex-rights from open on Friday. Anyone holding TUI shares at close on Thursday is entitled to the rights and should receive them, even if they sold their qualifying TUI shares on Friday or today.
