10/9/2020 14:41 | I am puzzled by this share price gain. Portugal due to be added to the Q list. It's not as if there have been a lot of news stories that would make me believe that TUI's revenues are on the rise! | lyndon b

03/9/2020 19:01 | Holidaymakers across the UK have been left confused after Wales added Portugal to its quarantines list, but England and Scotland did not. The Azores and Madeira remain exempt from Wales's quarantine list. Along with Portugal, Wales has removed Gibraltar, French Polynesia and the Greek islands of Mykonos, Zakynthos, Lesvos, Paros and Antiparos and Crete from the list of exempt countries and territories. Anyone returning to Wales from those countries after 04:00 on Friday must self-isolate for 14 days. Portugal and Greece have retained their places on the Government’s quarantine exemption list despite pressure to remove them after a rise in coronavirus cases. Transport Secretary Grant Shapps this afternoon (September 3) announced there were no changes to the list tomorrow. However he warned that the list is under 'constant review' and they 'won’t hesitate to remove countries if needed'. The decision comes after many holidaymakers booked flights home costing up to £554 to avoid a potential quarantine requirement. Tour operator TUI has said it would no longer be offering holidays to the resort of Laganas on Zante from Thursday. | loganair

20/8/2020 22:18 | Cases rising fast in Germany now Greece and Croatia and Austria plus others on the cusp of being added as cases in the UK also rise further and local lockdowns seem imminent in Birmingham , Manchester , Northampton and Oldham plus several other areas. Covid-19 cases are rising out of control worldwide Just come in Austria, Croatia And Trinidad And Tobago Added To UK Quarantine List dyor | buywell3
20/8/2020 20:53 | doubt it will open much higher. I see it more chance of opening up than red though, but if its blue it won't be much. Croatia is added today and its only a matter of time before Turkey is. Lots of countries adding other countries today. Croatia is a fairly big destination for TUI, and Germany also added two regions there and Croatia is the third most popular destination for Germans. I think Greece or Turkey was priced in so could see a small bounce tomorrow. I cant see Turkey escaping next week as their rate keeps on going up. I think UK people have had enough of the constant countries being added and have written off holidays for the rest of the year. I know I have. If Turkey and Greece gets added next week, that only leaves Portugal for the AI side. We shall see..... | thecroots
20/8/2020 17:48 | Good news just out for holiday makers - UK tourusts will not need to quarantine upon their return from Portugal - should see this open much higher tomorrow. | pre

13/8/2020 22:25 | Feel sorry for shareholders here, France may just be the nail in the coffin, not just Tui but airlines in general. The damage this drawn out set of measures is doing is absolutely devastating. Im not even sure I'd buy travel stocks if they dropped a further 30%. It just feels to risky right now. | slinkyj
13/8/2020 22:13 | TUI is battling for survival after the cancellation of summer holidays triggered a record loss of £1.3billion in just three months, equivalent to more than £14million a day. Revenues collapsed by 98.5 per cent to £67million in the three months to the end of June as thousands of flights were grounded and its holiday resorts sat empty. Bosses yesterday said they were considering a rights issue or selling part of its business, such as the Marella cruise line, to ensure its long-term survival. The collapse in demand for overseas trips has also forced it to cut the number of holidays it is offering for the coming winter by 40 per cent and the number of summer 2021 holidays by 20 per cent. | loganair
