but why catch a falling knife rather then wait until chart shows a bottoming pattern even if you do not get in at the bottom. good luck with it

The boat made a U-turn and I got in at 610/600/590 and 580/570 bid!
Could argue that I am catching a knife here but think there is value at these levels.

Took the chance to exit at 610 this morning so now just a question of when to buy back in?

well, did see 600 again after the early rally which most stocks had . looks like it will head lower in coming days unless US markets have another rally .

Tenerife guests on their way home.
Sell off massively overdone.
Mrs Smith will still want her all inclusive in Turkey
Less competition
Dow futures rally 1,000 on Fridays close
Will not see 600 again
Missed the boat Friday
This opens way way higher Monday morning

not really the time to have a debt/equity of 1 I guess . Will be a bounce on monday after the 1000 bounce in the dow including after hours in futures - big surprise why
the shorts decided to cover at that point . But more corona bad news at weekend mighty mean the dow futures will open lower than the 25700 at friday's close . Interesting week ahead with plenty of volatility bo doubt

Tui may have cash in the bank but is it theirs, as it could be deposits against forward bookings. I hope the CAA is keeping an eye on them as we do not want a repeat of TCG. Many smaller operators do not operate in the same way and do not have to fund unused assets until the situation turns round.

I see this as an over reaction. At some point the share price should head north sharply.

I hope you are wrong Porsche. Let's just wait and see. I'd like to see TUI survive these headwinds and the rest of global market for that matter. Feel like Im sitting here just watching stocks crumble right now. Is this an over reaction!?

I think TUI is a decent company but its debt levels are not sustainable, crazy high, this current issue could cause real problems for them, i predict a capital raising and suspension of dividend going forward. Ftse 350 pretty uninvestable since brexit fiasco and this virus the straw/camels back. Glad im in Spain in the sun away from it all, you poor suckers stuck back there in that damp depressing sxxtshole uk.

High debt levels, yes comparatively speaking, but they also have relatively good amounts of cash in the bank and plenty of company assets ready to earn good profits if we get a break from the risk of global pandemic and Boeing delays. Competition is declining due to others cash flow difficulties and TUI offers the whole package which I think is desirable, taking the headache out of booking a good holiday.

I like TUI as a company, but dont the debt levels make this uninvestable anyway ?

Not yet No 14, much lower to go yet I’m afraid, this is just the start of the fall. I expect the DOW to be down close to 1000 pts today and the FTSE at least another 100 from now. A great buying opportunity at some point but certainly not yet in my opinion.

With the scale of the issue "Virus" and markets tendency to overreact, surely this could fall 20%?

TUI going in the wrong direction today... Shares will surge once Boeing is sorted and compensation is agreed
