27/4/2020 07:52 | Snorkel Fair point I suppose it is all down to how quickly this is sorted and how will people will feel about travelling again Bought more last week A 70% discount to the pre Covid price means to me a chance worth taking So now watch it plummet 😂 | poolies3
25/4/2020 05:18 | Poolies, I'm not sure they will be last standing. They may have 2 bil in rescue funds but their balance sheet is held up by a big lump of good will which is pretty much worthless, they already have a heap of debt and overheads in crusie ships airplane leases and hotels that is crushing them... Just because the German gov stepped in doesn't mean they are going to prosper.. JET2 on the other hand is likely to survive and be leaner and meaner.. I know where my money would be. They started this on the back of a great year and no operational debt or goodwill on the balance sheet. And yet to tap any government help if they can possibly help it, outside of the wages program | snorkelparker
24/4/2020 11:10 | Months of negative newsflow and drift to get through, holidays/flights may take years to normalise. May just survive but at such cost to shareholders , mounting debt, fund raisings - is it worth it? Wish I knew. | its the oxman

30/3/2020 09:05 | no wonder it held up so well recently with German government backing it ! although might turn out to be sell on the news ! | arja
30/3/2020 08:16 | If TUI's illness this month has been due the question of whether it can survive a prolonged lock down, then this news of massive cheap government credit instead of a nasty placing must be the medicine.Either a very slow reaction this morning or insiders already got the value of this news the other day? This should be way higher than 0% up today... | rarther |
