An odd choice given UKCM has a load of offices and retail, which presumably they'll want to sell to remain a pure play logistics company. I guess a quick way to increase scale. SHED WHR or even EBOX would have been better choices.

Should push the new group into FTSE 100, which will attract more fund buying...

BBOX and UKCM ? Can't see the two of them as a logical combination. What has prompted this corporate action

It's UKCM No word of price/termsOther than in reality it's BBOX buying them than a merger Both now managed by Arbdn though don't think shareholders will see any management synergies

SHED is a logical fit. Was hoping it might have been EBOX - would help lift the share price out of the doldrums.

Tritax gets go-ahead for Biggleswade logistics park expansion plans -

Tritax Symmetry, Tritax Big Box’s dedicated logistics development company, has been granted detailed planning permission for the third phase of Symmetry Park, Biggleswade, totalling 927,000 sq ft of logistics space.

Central Bedfordshire Council has approved plans for three new logistics buildings to be developed, totalling 384,325 sq ft, 287,200 sq ft and 255,700 sq ft. All three facilities will be built to net zero carbon in construction and will target a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating.

“Tritax Symmetry has successfully developed this site into a highly sustainable distribution park for local, regional and international businesses,” said Tom Leeming, development director at Tritax Symmetry.

“In addition, our business has worked together with the local community and provided considerable funds resulting directly from the development for the exciting Kitelands project. We’re looking forward to delivering the next phase, with further announcements due imminently on those plans, to attract further high-quality jobs and economic growth to the town.”

Tritax has granted Biggleswade Town Council £57,700 for the town’s Kitelands Recreation Ground improvement project for the creation of a new toddlers’ play area.

Mark Foster, mayor of Biggleswade, said: “The town council would like to thank Tritax Symmetry for their continued investment in the local community. This additional funding is a valuable and much-appreciated contribution to the town council’s wider play area refurbishment programme.”

The first two phases of Symmetry Park, Biggleswade, offering a total of 1.24m sq ft, are fully occupied by The Co-operative Group, Bidfood, Bowman Ingredients, Noatum Logistics and Bond International.

Plans for phase three were submitted at the start of 2023.

Colliers and Bidwells are joint letting agents at Symmetry Park, Biggleswade.

@nickrl - "Yield too low for me currently so just watching."

I assume you mean dividend yield. Yes, it's a bit low but can it grow in line inflation?

@peteway reads well but like all of them only mention the upside. If they told us latest contracted rent you could at least work out how well they are really doing. The sales have taken a lump out of rental income but looks like the asset mgt activity has neutralised that from the narrative but not difficult to just quote the number!

Anyhow they've proven adept at getting the money back on developments but I guess the question is whether the logistics bubble has burst or not.

Yield too low for me currently so just watching.

Isn’t the upgrade an attempt to get tge price up so they maximise profits on their earlier “quiet” purchases on behalf of clients ?

Wot me, cynical?

Just watch all the targets jump once each share looks like its properly cleared the bottom.

Interesting article in todays City Wire 'UK Reits: Value us on earnings not 'mythical' net asset values'. Its what the Americans are doing where there is no mention of NAV at all.
