At least honest and straightforward, Piedro. apad |
"Two primary factors impacted performance: - A higher than normal turnover of sales staff in France and Australia. This has now stabilised, enabling our focus in these key markets to be re-established.
- A dilution of our commercial efforts in the Tristel Medical device portfolio, due to a focus by our sales teams onto the newer and less well-known Cache Surface range. We are refining our approach to ensure a more balanced sales strategy between the two product ranges."
Someone took their eye off the ball again. - it is getting to be a habit, and - blaming the sales teams is rather unseemly

Just looking in here after a tip. I was going to ask about their patents, but see that the last post mentions patent expiry. Can anyone shed any light - are the patents about to expire? Will this damage their super high gross profit margin? Thanks. |
Tax rate rise result in eps decline as patent expiry impacts but otherwise much as usual with the USA taking time as usual but remains biggest opportunity.Dividend makes it attractive to growth and income investors as market rating has declined as share price has stagnated. |
Exactly that WJ, there is absolutely nothing at all wrong in those honest speaking interims, the future here is bright and growing, I especially like the India mention. The Usa will take care of itself in due course, i have no doubt it will be slowly slowly catch the monkey in America, but it will happen, and in the meantime - Growth goes on elsewhere whilst the USA simmers. |
True but they'd already flagged that although they seem more upbeat about increasing traction than previously. Luckily the rest of the business will compensate until it gets going. |
US revenue is very low.... |
Interims tomorrow. |
Thank you s3t - I reckon many did not know that. |
The CEO is not American. He’s from Kent |
As usual fully stocked.
Perhaps the market does not trust an American CEO.

I've added another small tranche. Pretty confident the results will be satisfactory, dividend possibly up a little and the future prospects still decent. |
THanks for the comments; all welcome. I'm not selling! |
Correct WJCCGHCC but there are so many stocks wrongly being sold off or marked down on these worries that are unfounded because the companies have US branches/factories !!! |
There are no tariffs as it's manufactured in the US by their partner.
Only thing I can think of is that whereas sales outside the US are ahead of expectations, the high margin US being slow to get going means PBT may not be. |
Tariff worries on their hoped for expansion in to USA !! |
WHats the issue here please? They report record revenue and great trading yet the shares is being hammered |
I'm back in as of this morning. Roll on interims and, hopefully, reversal in direction for the share price |
Certainly is. |
Awfully quiet here! I'm thinking the share price is looking rather tempting ahead of results in a few weeks.... |
TRISTEL: Record FY 2024 Discloses Impressive 32% UK Growth As Sudden US ‘Purchasing Bureaucracy’ Explains Leadership Change, Boilerplate LTIP Seeks Only 5.5% EPS CAGR And P/E Drops To Lowest Since 2018 23 December 2024 By Maynard Paton |
It would seem that the market was not too pleased with the terse update of our new CEO.
Certainly USA orientated. I can forgive him for concentrating on his home first patch if he can get away to see the rest of the world.
What the market is overlooking: - "... the Company has had another record first half ..." - "... our long-established market in Germany is surpassing expectations ..."
The American Dream has always been a 'slow squid' IMO |
AGM on 16th of this month - in recent years this has been accompanied by an AGM statement. |
Also sold out this week and tucked away another tidy profit off the fairly regular pattern of the last few years. This time was way more nervy than the last few years, though!See you all again in a few months. All being well.... |
I sold out. |
