Hear what you're saying but if the price remains around this level who will be selling them?
I'm talking pov that the majority of these placees will be medium to long term investors but I don't care anyway - I see this as an opportunity to purchase!
All imho and dyor of course and best of luck all!!

market is fearing supply of these shares on 22 july (if i rememeber right). the price rather won't go up until that supply is resolved.

No I'm buying lol!
I am having problems wondering why there are so many sells at this price - the new placees aren't turning for less than 8% taking into account cost of capital?
I would have thought they bought in at such a discount for an investment but...
This is a total no brainer for me at this price.
I was very disappointed with mgt decision to place at this price but looking again and comparing to 6 month average prices, plus 'change in strategy' it actually doesn't seem that bad?
In theory this company could be turning 4,000 bbls per day at end of year and adding to their 2p reserves.
Me I see this as absolute bargain but wtfdik!?
All imho and dyor of course!!!

indeed the new money coming in goes into the coffers of the compay and should partly compensate the dilution... but this is true for any fund raising... the assumption is as a going concern if the new money is not compensating through its investment the dilution, existing holders are worse off. So what we have to watch is how this money is used... it will take time (maybe >1 year) to see what happened.

I only hope this can be used to increase production and profits by more than 40.6% (which is what we need to break even on dilution)

"Existing shareholders have just been gifted 4p per share"

That's a relief wwick..I need to revisit my portfolio calculator as it is wrongly telling me it is worth thousands less than the last time I looked at it on Sunday.:-))

The "when" question is difficult to answer but I know if I combine the planned “8-10 onshore wells per annum” with observations from the two new Q1 18 wells (“21 day average production as per prognosis (combined 142 bopd)”) I conclude we will not go unnoticed.

Can I ask, if TRIN had offered a 4p per share dividend what would the sentiment be? (rhetorical, we all know the answer). Existing shareholders have just been gifted 4p per share in a company they own part of. ONLY weak sentiment has us at 16p now, this will pass very soon. Let me share some simple calculations. First look at the share price history, the 6 month average is 18.93p, diluted this is 15.01p (sound familiar?). New shares in issue are 383.6m and if we divide the fund raise (£15.2m) by this we get 4p per share. So if we use the six month average share price the relative new value is 19p. What happens if we use the 3 month moving average as our starting point, the share price today should be 20.8p. So in ‘new money’ we are below the six and three month moving average, crazy. If you want to make money put your sentiment in the wardrobe, TRIN is a bargain here. Now we have our baseline in new money (19p to 21p) what about the added value, we are in way better shape now. Things are looking great here.

Seems weird that Trinity aren't already using the existing State-owned 3D Seismic database. Trinity says they could get on with horizontal drilling with it and get initial production rates of about 2-6x what they currently get.

Trinidad national interest must be that companies exploit fields to extract as much oil as possible. Fair enough if the data didn't exist, but as it does, I think government should be insisting Trinity has access to it and using horizontal drilling if appropriate.
