05/10/2017 16:46 | Wwick, seems to be the case. 18p area was always going to be an area of churn due to last peak. I even bought a decent chunk at 18.4p in 2015 as the worst of the fall from £1 looked over..... But as WITJ says you have to judge the situation by its current measures and 18p represents little interest for me to sell despite the painful history. | ![]() mark10101
05/10/2017 16:27 | Yes as I hoped, could finish at new high which will leave clear sky above. | ![]() mark10101

05/10/2017 16:11 | Mark, I don't think we are re-rating solely on an event that might happen in December (and might not); just from what you write that seems to be your emphasis. I think we are re-rating (from an absurdly cheap price) because with those half year results, and with the recent presentation on the same day the market now has far more clarity and far less fear. Looking back there was this giant window for 2 days to buy still very cheap! If the 8 p brigade made a return here nobody would give a sh.t ...when we were at 9.6 pence the market was in a VERY different place on fear and lack of clarity concerning TRIN. The expectation is now for a solid update in early Nov, an insightful broker note within 8 working days & the potential for an SPT overhaul in the background. Wingspan | ![]() wingspan

05/10/2017 15:55 | With all the excitement here I had not checked oil and pleased to see a solid bounce today, hopefully signifying a bit of strength around $50. Just so long as oil stays around $50 TRIN will be doing very nicely. | ![]() mark10101
05/10/2017 15:42 | I think the SPT is the main thing I misunderstood when first investing in TRIN. It’s removal should make the market view TRIN more favourable than any time in its history. That will translate in a share price a fair way North from here. I think that is why this is a steady rerate not a rise then crash back down again. Today shows it with excellent strength despite stale holders exiting. | ![]() mark10101

05/10/2017 15:21 | WITJ, totally agree. I got all excited about the tax regime change in January. There was also mention of PETRO TRIN releasing acreages. However with the inclusion of gas if the government play it right and incentivise oil production growth they will end up getting a higher revenue than with the current reigime. It is the Laffer curve effect. | ![]() mark10101
05/10/2017 15:04 | Also, is it safe to assume that our phantom seller has now exhausted his supply of stock? he's had ample opportunity to do so | ![]() astorcourt
05/10/2017 14:55 | 4 near term events to sustain the momentum, all due final quarter. 1. broker note 2. November update 3. tax regime implementation 4. Sale proceeds for non core assets I fail to see the rationale for trading it at the current 18-19p level. Surely one to buy and hold, even the chart is heading into no mans land. | ![]() astorcourt
05/10/2017 14:46 | I don't have a price target Mark. I'll sell when the story has run its course -when things looked price in. The new tax system is supposed to encourage investment. We haven't got details yet. But how will it change TRIN? Lets see if Trinity can now find a suitable partner for TGAL. It ought to be more attractive if we get the tax reform. Theyve had approaches Bruce says. Apparently, TGAL is just waiting BOD sign off on a field plan to get those reserves booked? I think it's just getting interesting and big news won't come in a regular scheduled update. | ![]() whiskeyinthejar
05/10/2017 13:56 | Yes certainly holding for that WITJ. The good news is some of the LTH who missed 18p last time are taking their chance today. LSE quite a few LTH and STH took their chance at 18p but there still appears to be very good appetite for their shares. We could still close at new nights by the end of today. Not selling a share myself, find it staggering a LTH can have all this time to formulate a valuation for the company after all the years of pain yet they focus on the share price instead.... | ![]() mark10101
05/10/2017 11:54 | The tax changes alone could double the share price imo. SPT is 18% on land, 25% on new fields and 33% in shallow water when oil is sold at prices over $50. The tax is higher offshore than onshore because wells are more productive (economic). So we know Trinitys major potential is to ramp up offshore. Onshore Trinidad wells don't produce much, but Trinity can drill 300-800 bopd wells offshore and has 700 MM barrels of STOIIP. It has a funded route to 5,000 bopd in 2-3 years. This is why Trinity should be trading at a premium to other oil Trinidad companies. They don't have Galeota Ridge to develop. Anyway, getting rid of SPT is potentially a huge deal particularly for Trinity with its offshore focus. Anyone looking to aquire Trin should be ready to pay much more IMO. | ![]() whiskeyinthejar

05/10/2017 10:40 | Seriously good now, a close at or over this point and tomorrow cold be a blast...I am wondering if there is a news about to be released the MMs know about. Chart wise this is Apollo 20. | ![]() squiresquire |
