I don't believe sentiment is deteriorating. Took a hit yesterday with inventory data, but Wti is up 0.5% today and we aren't that leveraged to oil price.

If poo stays lower for longer, drilling program will be curtailed, but finances are sound.

Mark - without news and any significant bounce in WTI we will continue to drip lower with sentiment . Unfortunately!

Over the last 2 weeks there has only been 4.5m sells during the 30% drop, I suspect those that post here own more than that collectively. It is all a dance, once this turns it should bounce hard, however I really wish AIM would ban shorting, either own or sell.

Maybe they will take this to 10p now, it would be nice to get an unexpected RNS that would make them cover. You would not believe it possible but they are getting a second lesson in why it is important to protect the share price when you have vultures around. We are a sitting duck due to lack of interest (not fundamentals or activity) despite their being far more overvalued targets out there. Bonkers.

MM......Yes. Bought some a few months ago shortly after it was saved and came back from a brush with death. Ticks most of the boxes for me as a recovery play.

If i was inclined to short something i can't see why on either fundamentals or technicals why this would be on the radar.
The oil sector has many walking dead and severley wounded companies who are generally weighed down with combinations of collosal debts ,facing covenant breaches ,no money to drill or workover, high cost production etc etc.
TRIN is rather benign on all those so not sure what they can see to position as such.
Many so called shorters are just orphans hoping to get long at lower levels so try to talk it down.

Apparently there has been a lot of small cap selling this week due to quarterly spread bet expiry so hopefully seen the last of it. I just topped up.

No evidence just a hunch with various shorter appearing on the board. TRIN sadly did not achieve escape velocity on the initial rise where it got on enough radars to increase liquidity and general trading. We are behaving like last year, where a few 100k of shares would take 5% off the price. You have to declare at 0.5% I think but you only need to play with a few million shares to mess around with a stock as thinly traded as TRIN, keep dropping 500k just below the bid and the MM will naturally drop the price. The annoying thing is when this is switched, possibly today the volume will come back and they can scarper with an easy (imho verging on illegal) gain.

There is a price I will sell at and like you Ross it is likely to be quite a few months from here, until then I will endure the raid.
