The 6400 seems to be an aggressive buying BOT hoovering up all the loose stuff that comes down the pipe thus securing best prices without scaring the price upwards too fast. Ingenious :)

Aim,

One should resist judging others in this way since we know nothing of his personal circumstances and risk profile and so on. Be that as it may, I would only point out that it might be useful for him to set parameters in terms of what he hopes to sell at based on his assessment at the time of buying. If this is based on technicals, one should let it run until the technical argument changes or if invested on the basis of value etc it is better to remain invested until the analysis is altered (due to say, company specific news, macro events and so on). But, one must have in mind some plan or emotions will take over.

MirabeauI would honestly stick to a day job. It sounds like you simply are not cut out for AIMIf I was you. Trade up from a smaller amount until you are trading with free money. Then it's risk free

Mirabeau, sorry to hear that. We've all been there more than once. Anyone who says different is a liar!

It's what makes markets and that kind of scenario is playing out all of the time, only that 99.9% of those involved do not own up to it on a bulletin board. That's why those who do post regularly with their sales always do so at a profit :)

I like you, you are honest and upfront and I can totally relate to you. Sometimes we are our own worst enemies, buyers or sellers remorse etc.

You had too much in this stock, but why not just sell half or down to a level where you can sleep easily?

Your first instinct below was probably in line with the market:
"This time my patience will remain steadfast

I'd be happy with 20p"

Never a mistake to book profits though
