If getting worried about the FTSE100 and want to take it easy....

Triad is a my secret weapon - I just feel it will "blow" some where down the line - possibly September but could be October or November..... Its a months trade not a day trade but the rewards could be so much greater

Another one of my NETNETs shot up today PHSC. That makes three that have made me 100% profit: EVE, PHSC and FCCN...

I believe TRIAD could do better

chrisdgb: I suspect the guys what do that sort of thing are away on holiday (it is august).

I'm really expecting things to pick up September onwards (if it does pick up).

I think there was new blood on the board of directors recently so lets see what the new guy(s) can do (once back from holiday)

If the company are trying to 'refresh' themselves, it would be nice to see more communication..........agree it looks a bargain

Could traders be beginning to look at FTSE Small Cap? I sense FTSE 100 might be a bit wobbly and people looking for very undervalued stocks. Cant get cheaper than TRIAD PLC.

I like to start the week with this post:

NAV per share: 36p
Share price (to BUY) about 26p

Historically when they make about £1M profit the share price goes to: 70p-80p
However , in past, every £1M profit went on top of their cash pile so perhaps its fair to say share price of £1+
for future profits due to expanding cash pile (if they make them)

They are currently recruiting permanent staff..
They are, on face value, gearing up for expansion - corporate website just updated (past month) and
recruiting more permanent staff to expand their current work load.

click the P button on the jobs page:

Looking at it their big sites it appears they are strong in: Milton Keynes, Godalming (Guildford), Cambridge and central London.

What is the down side?
Since Triad is about 83% of a NETNET the downside would on face value be small - it depends
on investor sentiment (not on valuation).

Are you saying 20p by christmas?

buywell3: I think CJohn was right back in April, I expect the price of TRIAD to be significantly higher than the April price by beginning of November. You might say that is a long way a way, but most likely (in my view) it will start to rise by beginning of September as people realise that the recovery will be in IT DEVELOPMENT first and Triad is IT DEVELOPMENT - They have been recruiting like mad.
Buywell3: you can bury your head in the sands if you want but I have been buying more and will continue to do so from time to time...

Personally, I'm not bothered if they cut the dividend. So many other companies have done that, I doubt whether it would affect the share price significantly.

At the half-year, there was around £3m net cash on the balance sheet. So this company is highly unlikely to get into liquidity difficulties and has a very good chance of surviving any short and medium-term disruption from COVID.

It's a strong bet we're going to have reversion of the share price to higher levels at some point. And the risk of serious capital loss in the meantime is low.

thanks CJohn: It certainly has produced some startling results for me EVE, FCCN to name the two biggest.
However I have moved into FTSE 100 trading over past few days (I also have a great deal of software just for that - mainly charts to compare varying time frames - but all 100 shown at once - sorted by various parameters - it works quite well )....Over past few days I've been in PSON, ITV, BT, RR but it could have been a host of companies - they have all been going up.

Sitting on the outside of of Triads HQ (Godalming) I think they will have a goodish year. I'm pretty confident - confident to invest again at this price...

I love the fact that you are happy to re-invent the wheel!!

Your enthusiasm is contagious!

I thought that but when it was last about 20p (a few years back) it never had nearly £4M in the bank.
The current price relative to the price it was a few years back is about 5p......

Eg its a NETNET now (or as good as).....

This is about as cheap as it can realistically get.

oh and a sell.. That is a shame, someone who could not wait a few weeks...

I suppose it was only a few hundred quid but in my view by November could easily have been a couple of thousand if they held on.

diku: I'm taking a gap year to see if I am a natural investment guru - so far I'm doing really well but alas, if I'm honest, most has been luck not skill...

I am getting better so am optimistic but cant say I have the magic touch just yet.

I have built an awful lot of software to identify good NETNET stocks that seems to work OK.
I also have build a lot of software to identifiy good FTSE 100 trends - that seems to work too.

However big money was made in stocks outside of my software so has been luck. My software is making profitable picks but only just.... Its not brilliant .... but works really well if just day trade. Not so good for weekly trades.
