The government is going to ensure SME’S gain a far larger slice of the cake going forward.

The issue for investors is finding listed companies that stand to gain from the new procurement Bill.

They are out there, for sure .

We continue to design our commercial agreements so that SMEs are able to benefit and that is why now around 58% of the suppliers on our commercial agreements are either micro (29%), small (19%) or medium (10%) enterprises (as of February 2023). Being successfully awarded to a CCS commercial agreement, enables SMEs to compete to win business from public sector customers who call off from CCS’ commercial agreements.

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

The city is sleeping when it comes to the growth prospects for “Medium” SME”S. Not just within Tech, but across the board .

Micro and Small SME”S would not cope with contracts over £1M.
Medium SME”S will be fine winning contracts in the range of £1Million up to £20M.

Just 10% of suppliers are Medium thus , competition is limited, yet this section is in the sweet spot to win work, due to government tendering heaps of contracts in this price range. ( Super large contracts are not in vogue.)

If you look at the five year chart for cgi (the old logica) you will see that its about now that the graph is looking particularly good - this is possibly a good sign for the IT consultant industry generally:

With current staff numbers (106 - ish ) it looks like its heading for a turnover just under £20m - ish....
So annual profit of £2m could be a shortish run target.... But £3m to £4m should be the
aim soon after - at least..... So the forward PE is about 8 to 14 - in that range. Pretty
average..... "if" we make about £2m with signs that £3 to £4m will soon be on the
cards then stock will rise significantly.. Anyway see how it goes. I'm a long term holder
so whatever happens I'll be holding tightly to my shares. I dont think I have a price at
which I am willing to sell.......

They are advertising for another 10 people at least. And they have 10 senior people (directors etc)...
So potentially 126 going forward..... But expanding...

Its definitely in a growth phase.

Not sure about RSI, i kind of think , its just basics.

The recent rise in the stock is just a reaction to events. A stock often starts to move as the order book expands. For evidence of that, look at AIM listed companies who have to RNS any orders over a certain size, and their share price reaction, on the day of release. ( Triad is fully listed, and under no obligation to RNS contracts ).

Example :
Ethernity Networks shares bounce 200% after contract win
Wed 29 Nov 2023 09:52
(Sharecast News) - The share price for AIM-listed Ethernity Networks trebled on Wednesday after the Israel-based semiconductor group won a "significant" contract worth $800,000. The contract is with an existing, unnamed "long-term networking data communications customer" which has been licensing Ethernity's ENET flow processor tech for over ten years.

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

Don't get me wrong i am not saying , Triad is going up 200% .

Here we go with my full explanation :

Numerous substantial longer term contract wins, that can be tracked on the UK Governments site : Contracts Finder. ( plus others, through 3rd parties, where Triad is not represented on a particular framework agreement ).

Winning no less than 3 awards at the Oscars of the Industry , more than any other company. An outstanding achievement for any SME.

Upbeat comments from the Chairman, and yet more director buying.

The number of new vacancies in the process of being filled.

Future growth rate scenarios , as soon as the overhead cost is covered, profits can at least in theory, expand on fractionally higher revenues.

Triad also pays dividends, that have the ability to grow at pace over the next few years.

The dire state of the listed competition, who have gone for rapid growth at the expense of quality. ( and failed ).

I am also of the view investors have yet to grasp the implications of the new procurement Bill being introduced this year, and its probable benefits to ESTABLISHED SME’S. ( like Triad ).

Triads 34 years of working for the Government, is a huge advantage.
It’s going to be easier for SME’S to win contracts generally.

That said , even newer SME entrants, will have a lot of catching up to do, and may struggle for the first few years, to gain traction.

Triad has such a great reputation they must be in an excellent position to grow organically .

Consultancy is not a numbers game , it’s all about your staff. Triad have spent half a decade getting to today’s position. Refer to recent Annual Reports.

The candlestick chart is an impressive sight. Momentum in action yet volumes have yet to appear. Imagine what would happen if the traders piled in yet it is nice that they are happily oblivious! Less volatility.

RSI reads at 95 which is extended but nothing to stop it extending further before an inevitable pull back.

“The recent significant contract wins involve providing digital expertise across domains including programme and project management, business architecture and business analysis, and full-spectrum digital delivery capabilities (including the implementation of AI co-pilots within corporate functions) to support ongoing pipelines of work at our new clients.”

“During the last two months, we have succeeded in winning four new longer-term lines of business, with prestigious clients in the public sector. All four have now been formally awarded. One major result of this will be that the cliff edge which we have experienced, particularly in the last two years at March 31st will not affect us in future as we will be able to continue working seamlessly through that period. This should transform our second half results for the current year, and in particular the full year results for the next financial year and going forward. I personally have never felt so confident and enthusiastic about the state and prospects of the Company for more than 20 years.”

Bones: Re AI.... I do not know However re laptop sales for 2024:

COMMERICAL SALES (eg sales to companies like Triad) are set to increase nearly 10% and 19% of those laptop sales will be AI enabled.

"

"
and
"
The global PC market is on a recovery path and set to return to 2019 shipment levels by next year," said Canalys Analyst Ben Yeh. "The impact of AI on the PC industry will be profound, with leading players across OEMs, processor manufacturers, and operating system providers focused on delivering new AI-capable models in 2024. These initiatives will bolster refresh demand, particularly in the commercial sector. The total shipment share of AI-capable PCs is expected to be about 19% in 2024. This accounts for all M-series Mac products alongside the nascent offerings expected in the Windows ecosystem. However, as more compelling use-cases emerge and AI functionality becomes an expected feature, Canalys anticipates a fast ramp up in the development and adoption of AI-capable PCs.”

Two observations:

1. A screaming buy signal on 17th January appeared when “remarkomsoc” turned up here with one of his cryptic derogatory comments (7179).

2. Is there an AI angle driving this demand? There’s no doubt TRD consultants will help the government and police sectors with that, as ST has already highlighted.

What else is changing?

The bill also recognises the shift from buying authorities just looking for the cheapest option, aka MEAT (Most Economically Advantageous Tender), to MAT (Most Advantageous Tender). That means buyers will be considering other things, like new ideas, being creative, helping society, job creation, and looking after the environment, as part of their decision-making process, which can help smaller firms who might be unable to match the economies of scale available to larger firms, but may, for example, have a new approach to an existing problem. It’s a shift towards recognising and rewarding the extra mile suppliers can go to boost local economies

/////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

This section of the new Bill, gives boutique companies like Triad the chance to introduce new ideas where PRICE is not the only winning criteria for the first time.

Investing is all about looking at the future , as a general rule, the stock market tends to look 18 months out. Hence brokers produce forecasts for that timeframe or even longer.

The article above refers to the new procurement Bill that comes into effect later this year.

It sums up the huge advantage SME”S will have going forward with the target of winning 1/3 of all contracts.

Within the Tech space, most of the competition are far larger companies.

Within the SME space those listed could be counted on one hand.

To top all of that, the Government itself is moving away from massive contracts , towards more bite sized projects.

Hence Triad appear to be perfectly positioned for growth.
