Ten job adverts,( some with multiple positions).

Triad had around 100 consultants and very low staff turnover, as per Annual report.

Now take a look at the main competition ( Be it, that they are not SME”S )

Made Tech :500 Employees , 73% staff retention rate , and have just 6 vacancies

TPX : 630 : Employees, 86% staff retention rate ( fiddled, in my personal view, as only showing the last, best, 1/4 ).

8 full time permanent jobs on offer.

gleach23: I dont think anything is going on except that KNOS is valued at four times its revenues and TRD is valued at twice its revenue.
I think the market is slowly coming round to seeing that TRD is a quality stock and potentially a growth stock and could get a valuation of four times its revenue too - after a year or so...
And triad's revenue is potentially set to soar.

10k buy @ 172.5p reported late today which explains the rise in the Offer. Encouraging.

Personally I've top sliced a few this week given the high RSI, the potential of a triple top and the way this can retrace between updates. However, aside from the newsflow regarding major new contracts and Fujitsu retreating from government work, I'm wondering if something else is driving the current strength?

The weekend papers have yet again highlighted the outdated Tech being used across government, and the civil service staff number reductions required, going forward, to increase productivity and slash costs.

A real trend is a move away from the big projects, the domain of the Mega internationals, that so often fail to deliver.

Getting exposure to this huge opportunity on the London Stock Market is extremely difficult.

Triad are in pole position to win heaps more work for these 6 reasons.

1/ The Triad skill base is a cut above the competition, a focused policy by management over the last five years, only hiring the very best.

2/ The new procurement Bill that promotes SME’S giving them a real crack at the whip, of note, most of the competition are NOT SME’S

3/ Triads recent industry Gold award wins : They have put Triad on the map, personally, if i was looking for a task to be undertaken they would be top of the list, (so long as pricing was not way off the pace.)

4/ Risk: Triad have been trusted partners to government for over 33 years that gives them another edge over new SME’S trying to breakthrough into the market.

5/ Government Frameworks . The dog work has been done over previous years Triad have won positions on various Frameworks.

6/ Triad hold several positions on various uk Tech platforms / forums, that advise government on forward strategy.

BBC Radio 4 says Fujitsu will not tender for government contracts while Horizon investigation continuing.

That time frame will probably cover about one billion pounds of software contracts.....

So that could mean Triad could potentially win contracts that originally were heading Fujutsu's way...

Digital Specialists and Programmes

RM6263

Individual Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) specialist roles and end-to-end digital transformation programmes.

Updates
,
19/10/2023: We are extending this agreement for 12 months until 7 March 2025. This extension will allow you to continue buying the services you need while we develop a replacement agreement

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

This extension is good news for Triad : RM6263 is by far the largest framework agreement Triad is on (£4BN) with just 76 suppliers.

It will now run another 15 months, with an option to add another 12 months.

Although the change was made in October 23 i have only just come across it.

Its the same framework Triad won the £8.5M Met office contract on, in December.

A bit more detail from Gareth Davies.

Davies described data as one of three enablers of productivity in the public sector. “Consistent definitions, standards and, above all, quality are essential if citizens are to see service levels rise and costs fall,” he said, adding that without this, the government will fail in its ambitions to use AI to improve the efficiency of decision-making across departments. “Poor data will mean arriving at wrong answers, only faster.”

Innovation and evaluation is Davies’s second enabler to greater productivity in government, but, he said, creating an environment where this is encouraged, tested, evaluated and scaled up is challenging in government.

The third area for productivity improvements is in planning and spending. “The planning and spending framework can better support this drive for efficiency and productivity,” he said, adding that the planning and spending process should address personal and organisation incentives for high performance.

Daily Mail

He also used the newspaper interview to push for the Government to embrace opportunities offered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) to overhaul decades-old Whitehall IT systems.

'Our view, as auditors, is that those are risks that need to be embraced rather than [government] being so risk-averse that you fail to take advantage of the big opportunities that are coming,' Mr Davies added.

But the NAO boss warned against 'overambitious' IT projects as he pointed to the Post Office scandal and the abandoned £10billion NHS national IT system.

'The phrase used in the IT industry is "dolphins not whales",' Mr Davies said.

'So manageable projects compared to gigantic, overambitious attempts to change the whole world with one IT system.'

There are enough positive examples that we can be confident there's more to come

The UK’s chief auditor has claimed the government could save at least £20 billion by modernising IT systems and other measures.

Along with modernizing legacy systems and improving technology procurement, Gareth Davies, head of the National Audit Office, said tackling fraud and getting a grip on failing mega-projects would also help liberate cash.

Speaking to the Financial Times, he said more than £7 billion ($8.84 billion) of savings could come from overhauling public procurement.

But legacy IT systems were also in his sights. Better use of IT is vital to improving public services, said Davies. Some government departments were using 30- and 40-year-old computer systems. For example, in 2021, the NAO found that a computer system from the 1980s was one of the causes of a scandal which led to more than £1 billion ($1.26 billion) of state pensions not being paid.

He also encouraged the government to take risks with IT project, even if the Post Office's Horizon scandal highlighted the dangers of new projects.

"Our view, as auditors, is that those are risks that need to be embraced rather than [government] being so risk-averse that you fail to take advantage of the big opportunities that are coming," he told the broadsheet.

//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

The new procurement Bill comes into effect later this year, with the intention to open up Government IT spend using more SME’S rather than the big boys who have dominated up to now.

Smaller bite size projects to modernise Government, is the official preferred way forward.

TRD is unique in this space being an SME and fully listed.

Add the recent contract and award wins, and its game on.

HORIZON scandal is good for companies that have won IT awards for "good" computing....

If you want to avoid "dodgy code" clearly the safest route is to employ companies who have won awards for writing the best code and having the best coding practices - eg TRIAD PLC

I occasionally do dummy trades net so I'm pretty sure about it. What I've also noticed is that a sell is often countered by a similar size buy later in the day and pleased to notice it's happened again today with a 5k buy at a full 150p reported after the bell

The above large contracts exclude heaps of other work Triad deliver to clients, for the following reasons.

Not a single contract is published from the private sector, this amounts to 20% of Triad”s revenues over the last reporting period.
Many contracts have a blackout for security reasons.
Smaller contracts are reported on different platforms
Triad ( as mentioned in the recent interim report ) works for various areas within the uk police force under framework agreements that are, and will never be made public.

For those willing to research information in the public domain.

Go to the uk Government web page called Contracts Finder

Tap in contract wins, on left hand side

Tap in the following dates 01/04/23 to 28/12/23

These correspond to Triads financial year that starts 01/04/23

Tap in “Triad” ( Triad Group plc ) in the awarded box

You will see a total of £18.5M of contracts and extensions won over the 9 MONTH period, since Triads financial year started on 01/04/2023

Do the same for the previous 12 MONTHS , April 22 to April 23 and the number is just £3.6M

Thats an absolute mind boggling increase of a tad over 400%, after just 9 months, with three months, still to go , which may produce yet more contract wins.

No wonder the chairman is the most upbeat about prospects, for the last 20 years.

Its revenues and profit growth, that drives shares in ANY company higher, as new investors want a slice of the action

Directors, ( buying yet again last week) with their very large , way above average holdings in the company, are totally alined with ordinary shareholders. (unlike the market in general).
