Bredainvesta: The £1 is similar to my guess. I think £2 is quite possible too.
I'll explain why.
There are THREE advantages to permanent staff:
1. They are cheaper than contractors.
2. Permanent staff want to help the company (get promoted) so they often come up with "good idea" and "novel solutions" .
3. Permanent staff are also good at getting new work - doing tendering documents, going to see clients to win orders.

So its not just about saving money its also about growing and improving the business.

Triad's share price normally is going towards £1 in boom years (See previous share graphs) but these NEW staff might help TRIAD step up to £2.....

But lets get to £1 first before we count are chickens.

As you asked my forward price guess would be £1 after next result and closer to £2 in a year.

I think my point is valid. There possibly are buys in the background hoovering up the sells as its been all sells this morning and yesterday and price not really moved.
Anyway just theorising - I'm sure we'll know soon either way.

Net, most investments are boring, however there always seems to be something going on with this one. I have made and lost money here, but I think Triad offers possibilities that not many other listed companies do. Most of what I know is from these chat rooms.

Nope - buywell3 - this is a tighyly held stock. Its hard to buy any quantity. And people do want to buy in the 30s for next leg up and dividend.

Anyway we will see what we will see.

Bit of profit taking this morning. Nothing wrong with that. It frees up more stock for others to buy in for the next leg up!

What I also liked from the results was how they are seeking out new routes to try to go with the times, such as tech and 'green'. There will be good opportunities there.

YES Brendainvesta - Jan 1999.
There is no future date for £7

My view is £1 is an achievable target within a reasonable time frame.

Brendainvesta do you have your own target prices etc?
I Suspect you know more about Triad than I do :-)

(looking at your profile you appear to have only ever written about Triad, with just one exception)

Cheers Net

Currently Triad are trying to recruit another 9 (at least) permanent staff. This time they are mainly Java based - so I'm assuming these might be for the new contracts as before they were mainly C#

If they have 50 consultants then 9 would increase the head count by nearly a further 1/5th. If they continue at this rate they should more than double in size soon.

I would be surprised if this doesn't go above 50/60p in the next month or two. I wonder if there will be any director buys, or were any on Friday.

sunshine today: If you look at this historical graph, Triad was at one time a ftse250 company with a share price of £7...... So it has done it before and one or two people who still work there do remember those days:

The market cap is silly because if the company was sold tomorrow the bidder would pay X for the business, PLUS the cash value.

I don’t think you’re anywhere near the mark on future profitability. Or the share price.

Your basing it on what TRD have achieved in the past.

The game plan is to grow rapidly and be more profitable.

The head count alone could pass 100 by the end of next year.

If you're looking for quick summary:

Cash pile increased to £4m
Head count has increased 47% and still increasing
17% profit per head (it is a consultancy business). I suspect a client probably pays ballpark £100k for a consultant over 12 months.

Forward statement suggests should make between £0.5m to £2m over next 2 years.
Current Market Cap is £6.4m

A company that has no debts, has a £4m+ cash pile, makes £1m+, is growing would tend
to have a market cap of £10m+ (right up to £40m - see WEY for higher end example - Kainos, a FTSE 250 software house has an even higher pe ratio than WEY - so at ultra extreme of pe of 55 Triad would have market cap of £100m or share price of £10 - lol that is not going to happen overnight but it is there in the background. There is nothing special about Kainos).

Thus, touchwood, I would expect TRIAD over the coming weeks, months and years, to generally speaking have a share price heading towards £1 and even possibly £2.

Nope - I have a broad portfolio and some go up and some down. I'm doing OK but nothing special.
If you look at my position in the stock challenge list this month I have not even broken into the top ten - and this was a great month for me:

(I'm netcurtainsAuto - number 12 - you can see the stocks I've picked in the list too)

You should have a go next month - we can compare stocks over a 31 day period..

Kainos, a Northern Irish software house is now in the FTSE250. It does more or less the same as Triad. It now has pe ratio of about 55, and a market cap of well over £1Billion.

Its profits are about 23M - so divide by ten

gives profits of 2M equates to market cap of £100M

LOL - I know that is not going to happen to Triad.... Or will it? ;-)
but I would say Triad do have strong chance of making between £1 and £2M profits
so perhaps a market cap of £20M is quite achievable perhaps even
£30M...

For me, we're all different, this is a long term buy, hold and buy again.

Cheers Net
