29/3/2016 08:04 | Update tomorrow, it seems. Anyone casting their eye over Treatt? From a technical point of view, the stock became much tighter from the w/c 8 of Jun 15 showing some nice support near the 40 week/200 day moving average. The recent pullback (from 1st Feb to 7 Mar) occurs on light volume, which is why I don't trust it too much. Curious to see what others think. I. | from8to800

TET set for a hike up? | loofyloofy
03/2/2016 20:43 | Yes, just the share to be involved with. 3rd post on this BB all year! The market is very bearish at the moment and its very noticeable how low the ADVFN BB activity is. | topvest
03/2/2016 11:14 | There has been a steady series of buys over the past few weeks which has taken the share price to new highs in what has been generally pretty dire market conditions. All of which seems to have gone unnoticed. | truffle
04/1/2016 16:13 | On a day when the rest of the market is a complete bloodbath, the Dow down 450 points or so, Treatt shares have actually risen on a reasonable volume! That's encouraging to say the least. | truffle
08/12/2015 11:21 | I have it as a hold based on the results, there is a small provision for the Earthsea Oil :-) but the idea of a company this size looking to commit £20million (plus contingencies) on a new building puts me off a little. This has been flagged so many times it is now a major part of the story perhaps? Th language also suggests it is something of a vanity project. Given the US investment and this craft beer market I looked for more information. Nevertheless, an interesting business niche and the balance sheet looks strong/very strong. I've bought twice now. I might sell if one of the tip sheets gives the price a fillip and buy more back later - whaddya think, EI:-) apad | apad
08/12/2015 10:23 | Clearly my posting made not one jot of difference alerting people to the potential here ) - then again I'm not Lord Lee in fairness. Remember him before the peerage. | essentialinvestor
08/12/2015 10:21 | I have bought as a toe dipper after what look like very solid figures on a strong balance sheet. I just love companies that have minimal inangibles. Lord Lee article in FT also a factor in my decision. | srichardson8
08/12/2015 08:08 | There is even a pension surplus! ) | essentialinvestor
08/12/2015 07:44 | Yes, a strong set of results and positive outlook. A quality company if there ever was one! | topvest
08/12/2015 07:20 | Quick read through, that looks positive to me. Nice fall in net debt and a 5% dividend increase, outlook looks positive as well. | essentialinvestor
07/12/2015 13:26 | Well I am very much a glass half empty person, unfortunately. TET have flagged this up repeatedly, the moon landing probably had less planning!. And then we have the rating, if we were selling on some sky high multiple it may be more of a factor, but that is not the case on the current price. It's just my take (pre results). | essentialinvestor
07/12/2015 13:24 | I think the news tomorrow will be very positive - don't forget they relieved their French agency of their duties last year, which was costing app. 1 million squids, and have been doing the biz direct. Orange oil pricing currently v. firm, which historically has been important for this company. Their move away from commodity items to more added value flavour items should see the share price head north - it is still at a discount to its much larger peers. On verrons. Happy holder! | marcela9
07/12/2015 13:10 | Essential, yes you could look at it that way but I just feel that that would not be a way most investors would look see it (however, as a long term investor here, I hope you are more right than me !) A small placing. Mmm I had not thought of that. If there was an offer to existing S/H as part of it, then I would be up for it (would cost Lord Lee a few bob though !) | housemartin2
07/12/2015 12:58 | I would tend to look at it another way, if it was not for the proposed HQ move the Treatt share price would be £1.80 + imv. Tomorrow should finally provide clarification on this and a small placing to cover some of the cost is perhaps to be expected - just my take. | essentialinvestor
07/12/2015 12:52 | Bit concerned that the extra debt and execution risk for the new plant not properly reflected in the share price. Any thoughts ? Should know the Earthoil settlement and final costs or at least a pretty close estimate of the outcome. Hope its less than £1m. If not, then with the legal and prof costs to date, we should have settled on day 1 (but I guess hindsight is a wonderful thing - especially as regards the past !) | housemartin2
07/12/2015 12:40 | Typically I have a dentist appt early tomorrow, will try to have a look later. | essentialinvestor

22/11/2015 12:15 | Wider market trends are nicely aligning for Treatt with the focus on real flavours and essences, authenticity is now a key focus for brands. They have interesting products to cater for sugar free beverages, another thriving market. 2016 may be Treatt's year IMV and this is yet to be reflected in the share price. | essentialinvestor
21/11/2015 13:34 | Interesting, EI. I did not wot that. Never understood the yankeedoodles, despite having worked there. Or perhaps because of having worked there? apad | apad
21/11/2015 13:26 | It's the US where it is really taking off ADAP, now over 11% of the total US beer market - the segment saw an 18% volume rise in 2014. Up to 20% share of the total US beer market estimated by 2020. | essentialinvestor
21/11/2015 12:48 | When the founders of FEVR were in planning mode the initial idea was a craft gin. This was rejected because the world and his wife were setting up craft gins with crazy names. The tonic, which was a common component, was a game changer because it is true that Schweppes makes all gins taste the same. Whilst TET does not have this advantage, because there isn't a single enemy (wot I wot of), they could still benefit from the idea in marketing terms. I do like companies that supply a chemical component of mass production stuff, but I am not sure about the craft beers because I only see them at beer festivals - to my shame I have been to two and they were horrid. Strange names, colours and people. More importantly those strange people were not the types to be impressed by natural ingredients. So, I conclude that the buying price is critical to this company, which is not going to set the world alight but could well be a good business. Still, a niche is a niche. apad | apad
21/11/2015 12:19 | treattbrewsolutions. Treatt's new site targeting the rapidly growing craft brewing industry, launched this week. | essentialinvestor |
