10/1/2023 04:00 | Dont forget, they are going Cretacous soon..........Krakke Hence their current actions......... | pro_s2009
10/1/2023 03:20 | ... IMO after getting Balata East and Rio Claro the latest bid round it somewhat superfluous ... St Mary's block and possibly Cipero ... yes ... St Mary's would would be the cherry on the top ! ... then again you can never be too greedy :-) ... maximising their acreage, especially in the Herrera fairway, could attract one of the bigger players to TXP as a possible takeover target. ... is that a strategy that PB is considering with these bids somewhere down the line? ... it will interesting to see how things pan out. | red rook
10/1/2023 02:05 | Touchstone have bid for 5 licenses. St Marys and Tulsa and Cipero and Churuma and and Guauagguayaro If they get those and also the new deal for Rio Claro and Balata East....wow....they will have a massive chunk of Central and South West Trinidad...... | pro_s2009
10/1/2023 00:23 | More news soon | pro_s2009
09/1/2023 18:28 | A bit of historical info on the blocks acquired in one of Xavier's old docs. They know what they're getting | homebrewruss
09/1/2023 17:31 | finncap note here More of a description, and elaboration on, the deal, e.g. more info on the nature of the licences. No change from December's note on the revenues in 2023, or the target price of 137p | spangle93
09/1/2023 14:37 | Today's news feels like a late Christmas present and on the face of it looks like a win win for all parties. Seller holding back the share price UK placing stock still clearing most likely. | captainfatcat
09/1/2023 13:45 | Thanks DB. And Spangle, of course! All good info. | soggy

09/1/2023 11:31 | Wonder how committed Predator is to Trinidad especially if Morocco comes good? | davidblack
09/1/2023 10:46 | Bid round also closes today and likely to be announced in the next few days. Is St Mary's on the TXP shopping list? | homebrewruss
09/1/2023 10:22 | One thing people are missing, imo, is that this allows TXP to move ahead with developing Cascadura and Royston and move gas exploration potentailly over to Rio Clara block - where any discovered gas can be sold at market prices....... Therefore allowing them to use their exploration budget in Rio Clara until the current deal with the NGC expires for Ortoire, then they can negotiate a better price and get back to drilling for gas in Ortoire. Also, Rio Clara might have the deep Cretacsous oil.....which Krakken might prove up. So get your hands on Rio Clara now this year and drill Krakken as soon as the deal is done. Currently its only an agreement, value will be added once the deal is confirmed later this year imo. | pro_s2009
09/1/2023 10:08 | I like this news too. So much I sold my JSE to add more here. I'm surprised the price hasn't gone past 70 with this RNS. I remember several comments over the years regarding TXP acquiring adjacent blocks. Looks like your wishes came true. | spawny100
09/1/2023 10:03 | Soggy the vendor, is the operator of the drill rigs. So they will get lots of paid for work. Currently the Rio Claro was in breach of the licensing deal anyway so it was at risk. | davidblack
09/1/2023 09:50 | Should be completed by the end of 2023 the RNS says. More building blocks for the future. This is a very positive development. If only they hadn’t mentioned that guesstimate based on the square root of zero. The problem is of course, that the future never seems to come in Trinidad. Buffy | buffythebuffoon
09/1/2023 09:42 | I like this news | king suarez
09/1/2023 08:58 | Yep :--- The Balata East block has a liquids facility which may potentially be used as a delivery point for future liquids volumes produced at Cascadura and Royston.-- The Transaction also provides Touchstone access to an 18-kilometre oil pipeline that transects our Ortoire block. | jungmana
09/1/2023 08:55 | Don't overlook the value of the oil export pipeline, and the handling facilities. These are things that now don't have to be built by TXP. | spangle93
09/1/2023 08:36 | Nice....1p on both the bid and offer. | 11_percent
09/1/2023 08:20 | Excellent indeed. Should add a lot of value ahead. | pro_s2009
09/1/2023 08:15 | I'm intrigued at what the other party gey out of it? Clearly, they get 10 x more cash from the current wells, but surely they would also have some insights into the massive potential of these licenses? Maybe they recognise that they just don't have the clout to explore those deeps. But what a brilliant piece of chessplaying by Paul!It may ve a couple of years down the line but it just makes the TXP story so compelling. Let the good times roll! | soggy
09/1/2023 08:03 | red, indeed. If Casc and Royston continue into Balata East, and I think they do.....then there is also a reserves increase. | 11_percent
09/1/2023 07:59 | 11_ "Did wonder why they were doing that at the time." Call it the Tinkerman effect and PB is the Tinkerman. His DNA appears to be wired differently to us mortals. If the Ortoire block really does link to the acquired acreage, and if there are good extractable reserves in situ, it really is a no-brainer. There does appear to be work to do on the licenses, which will tie up additional Tpx time and resources and there will be a negative short-term cash impact to Txp, if the current extraction numbers continue, beyond the date of the asset switch. By that time, one would hope that Txp has far more stable and increasing revenues as production ramps up. Time will tell, but a building block for the future. red | redartbmud
09/1/2023 07:58 | ... like the exchange ... like it very much ... especially the Balata East which should provide very good prospects ... excellent | red rook |
