Posted at 03/5/2024 21:44 by spawny100 It's been a brilliant trading share I agree. But I'm unclear as to what this offer for TRIN means and what it might do for the share price from these levels. If Cascadura and Ortoire etc were as good as they were hoping then they wouldn't be trying to empire build from such a lowly share price. But then if Cascadura and Ortoire were as good as Baay has been crowing then we wouldn't be at this lowly share price right now. Logically this move smacks of desperation to me so I see no reason to buy back in here yet. |
Posted at 01/5/2024 11:24 by holdandhope I agree the timing could have been better because of the dilution at this undervalued share price in order to pay for the acquisition in shares, but to focus simply on the cost (25% dilution) without thinking about the value that is added with the acquisition is one-sided. The acquisition includes a small amount of cash, potential for significant cost efficiencies running the operations in Trinidad, significant cost efficiencies in corporate overhead costs, significant (relative to current levels) additional production and cashflow, cheap additional reserves, further explo/development opportunities for some of the expected significant increase in TXP operational cashflow coming in the next 18-24 months to be spent on, and perhaps most valuable of all in the next few years, large tax losses that can be offset against the expected TXP profits to come with development at Cascadura. I think as the market digests the potential, and assuming the Cascadura production growth is realised to utilise the full tax loss value, the share price will reflect that despite dilution this deal adds significant value to TXP. |
Posted at 01/5/2024 08:28 by 11_percent Seems like bad timing......TXP share price is on the floor......could have waited till the 2 wells on Casc C pad are tested and confirmed as good flow......with subsequent share price rise. |
Posted at 22/4/2024 13:00 by dunderheed Exactly redartbmud 37141- and people genuinely wonder why there has been no new II investment and some selling?!So many complimacated conspiracy theories about why the share price is so low considering what wonderful assets we have! One of the “better” ones being that TXP management have been intentionally "acting" lower quartile and incompetent (so as to get a cheap private take-over (?!)) - another - it's the governments fault - hey why not the whole population of Trinidads fault - they seem to get blamed quite often elsewhere? Of course then it's North's fault - for selling shares! Now (again one of the “better” theories) it's PW's fault for selling shares in a very limited time space that is the "real" reason for no new II investment - some were so annoyed by this "behaviour" - instead of looking at it pragmatically and realising (generally all) II's look at such issues in the same cold hard manner - simply as how it solely affects their respective business cases - have transferred their own personal "annoyance and anger" in the blame game (and supposedly really should know better considering their “relative professional experience”) as to why the share price is so "low". I prefer the simple explanation - the Calgary based bloated (over paid) BoD (why on Earth do they need such a large team?!) have significantly under-performed in comparison to their RNS'd and "informal" guidances historically - and the market and hence II's just don't trust them - simple! I only ever bought this share for Casca - I just hope that a team who came up with the (time honoured) "novel" approach of re-visiting previous historic exploration assets and getting "lucky" - have the "nous" and experience onboard - to plan, cost efficiently develop and maximise the reservoir evolution, of what could be a relatively large on-shore gas asset. As ever all IMHO best of luck to all and DYOR folks! |
Posted at 10/4/2024 13:51 by ashkv I am of the view that TXP will not be meeting even the low end of 2024 Production Guidance. The below Assumes that both drilled Casc wells come online on 1 July 2024 / and the Boe/d TXP will have to be averaging for H2 to meet 2024 Mid and/or Low Guidance Total H1 2024 Production (Boe/d) Assuming Q2 Same as Q1 2024 (7,015 Boe/d): 1,283,745 TXP 2024 Low Guidance -> 9,100 TXP 2024 Mid-Guidance -> 9,400 H2 Production Total Boe/d Production To Meet TXP 2024 Low Guidance: 2,046,855 or 11,124 (Boe/d) H2 Production Average H2 Production Total Boe/d Production To Meet TXP 2024 Mid Guidance: 2,156,655 or 11,785 (Boe/d) H2 Production Average |
Posted at 21/3/2024 14:33 by ashkv TXP has been a wonder share for me with an average entry price of 18-19p on my medium time frame trade which I exited around 100p on average as I sold out.I track it and will continue to do so - if you go back and review on this very chat I highlighted Coho production concerns when it was not popular on this board!!! (If I recall correctly over a year prior) Also appreciate perforations were underway - that is why I asked about January 2024 production information - was that provided prior? No info as to perforation operations results in recent RNS - which doesn't speak well as to reservoir performance!!!! The holy grail for any E&P firm!!! I glanced through TXP's 2024 RNS and I couldn't spot the Jan 2024 Production figures on a cursory review!!! If Cascadura turns out to be a Coho in terms of production profile - that Casc 2, Casc 3 etc - will only be a process of running to stay in place.... I am rooting for TXP and wish it success - but PB has not been straight... from way back (Chinook), Royston raise etc. And has PB been buying TXP shares in size? TXP Directors Buying? |
Posted at 21/3/2024 13:58 by ashkv Why the massive decrease in Cascadura production in February 2024?JAM Tomorrow!!! Production Increase H2 2024 / End 2024..... I am very concerned that Cascadura is another Coho :( Coho continues to decline steeply and now well below 500 boe/d as per Feb 24 production numbers. Did TXP provide January 2024 production figures? Paul Baay has not LEARNED - OPENESS INCLUDING ADVERSE DEVELOPMENTS SHOULD BE BROADCAST TO INVESTORS!!! DODGY GUY DODGY COMPANY!!! FULL OF GAS!!! Posted at 30/11/2023 14:37 by homebrewruss Arguably it's been amazing that the TXP share price had stayed 'so high' for so long and it's actually the best value it's been for a long time right now.. |
