Sleepy - not sure if those are genuine questions? I'm not one to claim to have unique knowledge. I'm only pointing out the MO that's been observed several times since 2018. Maybe the Discord group would have more insights?

Spangle - very interesting thank you. Not so sure about your suggested timing. What price? My guess is between 10p and 25p depending, amongst other things, on how soon they can do it

Those who've done best are the ones who who hear Mr Baay say "we have no need for equity fundraising, no dilution here, ho no sirree, move along folks" and have set some money aside to buy shares for when it happens shortly afterwards

There's been quite a few "self-inflicted" rubs though to get to these halcyon share price heights!

che7 - i and probably most agree with you - looking at txp spreadsheet excersise all is well and ok looking into the future they designed...

the difference appears imho when one doubts that reality will mirror the spreadsheet excersise

Every post is welcome whether positive or negative.

TXP has tremendous prospects with a few hurdles to jump.

Not least the financing of the Central Block, once we know the terms.

There's the rub.

A lot of tin eared readers here 1Domus, they don’t use their own logic, they listen like sheep.

They castigate anyone that spends time and energy turning over stones to find nuggets or risks on their investments.
They don’t like anyone who is positive.

They pick holes in the company….that’s just the shareholders, I’ll not speak on former shareholders or those that want a lower share price, lol!

Oh sorry 1D! PS I sent you PM recently.
To clarify I was under the impression interest payments run through local accounts are tax allowable expenses.

Chiggers but it is tax allowable by virtue of running through local books, IMHO, DYOR.

Won't be 4%, double that and well worth it.

Chiggers I agree if we can get it financed in that manner it is a compelling deal.
I want the interest to be @ 4% net after tax offsets and yes it is risky to have so much "debt" but I'm supportive of it in that context.
To be clsar though, it's certainly not a steal?! Especially when justifying based on carried value in BS's, lol!!
Best of luck all and as ever all IMHO.

On this fallacious, specious and frankly what I believe is a spurious and contentious ongoing argument on funding the Central block:

1. Last week they alluded in the presentations that taking over assets with bank loans when the ROI is good makes sense - this was before we heard about Central Block.
So I believe they were talking about Central Block.
2. Paul in Q&A indicated likely loan rates of 7.5%, I believe it’s around this level.
3. The RNS stated they were already active on discussions with their bank on the loan - it’s in the RNS. So I believe the high level terms of agreement on the loan are more or less in place. They would not issue an RNS about a loan if this wasn’t the case - they must be fairly certain on getting it.
4. LOL took over TRIN largely with borrowing backed on TRIN assets and cashflow. We will be doing similar with Cental Block.
5. They went at great lengths to make sure that growth next year will be non dilutive for the pad B wells through borrowing. Why would they then do a takeover with share dilution, it’s a logical fallacy.
6. STCBL’s assets are given in the RNS:
“STCBL's unaudited net assets at November 30, 2024 were $30.9 million before any pre-Acquisition closing restructuring.”;
So we are paying $23m for an asset valued at $30.9m.
We need to borrow $23m (or possibly less on closing day), with the bank likely happy to hold the title deeds valued at $30.9m.
The asset itself makes over $12m per year. It’s not a high risk deal, it’s a steal.

Let’s face it, this is a low risk loan for any lending bank with a high conviction return on capital.

It would take place in US dollars, but my point is that a currency devaluation would be positive for TXP.How positive, I'm not sure, I did ask the company yesterday. Our gas prices are fixed in US dollars, our oil income would be the same, though fluctuating. If most of our costs are in Trinidad (e.g. local staffing), then a currency devaluation should be in our favour as costs should reduce and income increase.

so it is ok to get a loan in a high risk eg high loan cost country? in usd

or even better - taking on the same loan in the local currency and increase risks by becoming a FX speculator

or the best ... increasing risks by exposing txp completelty to the t&t power brokers instead of dispersing dependance and mitigating risks out of T&T power brokers influence orbit

Lol!
Was just thinking the same meself.
How about a new T&T currency set up by the bank of Gonzo backed by the worldwide prominence, security and importance of Casca assets?
FGS Chiggers get a grip man.
