Red agree, the financial oil market far larger than the physical. Plus sometimes there are fixed price, foreign exchange restrictions on all sorts of physical agreements as well. |
Dunders
Thanks, maybe hat will permeate the little grey cells.

More comedy gold. Take the time to read my posts before you react to them. What percentage of TXP gas production currently accesses global prices? What percentage of TXP gas production will access global prices in six months’ time? Have a word with yourself. |
Chiggers, nearly as incredible as saying my posts have allowed you and others to take advantage of such low great value prices for TXP, we all say stupid things we regret occasionally eh mate?! |
ACT, Are you saying that all gas prices in Trinidad, including LNG are derived locally with no global influence? Incredible if you are.
LNG news in past month or so will highly influence TXP in the future, have you missed this news? |
JH eh 39022, you dont think a lot of companies hedge production, lol? |
Oil prices have a significant global aspect (though Heritage are infamously greedy) but gas prices tend to be much more local. It is important to make that distinction here. |
redartmud pretty dense comment.
The prices they receive will increase by the same percentage.
Therefore increased revenue. |
Doesn't mean that the oil companies are able to achieve those prices in the market.

Just look at the oil and gas prices, that alone is enough.Oil up 152 basis points today. |
Comedy gold. |
Looking for news this week that should get us pushing back towards 40p+ |
That could be it - there was a time when some folk were able to use it as an early warning system. |
Wouldn't surprise me if the data was deliberately withheld until oil companies release their own production figures. |
These used to be a lot more timely - goodness knows when the data to the end of 2024 will be released: |
One of those be careful what you wish for things, I suspect.
Maybe some day che7win’s continuing incredulity at the TXP share price will finally suggest to him that the underlying reality is not what he thinks it is. Maybe. |
Indeed...as I said.......good idea. |
I dont know under but I'm just saying in this market and the current circumstances of TXP share price it would certainly not do any harm would it? IMHO. |
Have the company said they will give out production figures each month......just asking, I dont know.
Good idea like. |
This is exactly why I was questioning why we can't get production profiles out on time, in a consistent manner each month? People are naturally nervous about such things, IMHO. |
This is crazy, oil up over 3 percent now, Brent within touching distance of the eighties. |
Chigs I'm still awaiting your reply to my post on 38961? |
oil and gas prices have been rising sharply this year.oil up into break out territory, currently Brent is 165 today alone.Gas prices similar, gas reserves have depleted significantly in Europe with the cold spell. Looks like it will take Europe well into summer 2025 to replenish them. |
Hi Fh1, I was being a bit sarcastic but thanks very much for your reply. I'm personally not interested (regarding TXP!) in sales - just production volumes (lifting differences and schedules, plus cost oil / profit oil adjustments etc reconcile eventually but certainly not relevant "here") and agree 100%, generally speaking this would be logged each day (for entitlement percentages as well) and comoany wide on the CEO's desk cob the first or worst, second day post month end, regardless of location time zone etc etc. (unnecessarily!) caveated these were physical not definitive "financial" volumes. So I cannot understand why this can not be RNS'd each month by a certain day in the same consistent manner. This seems pretty obvious to me snd would go some way in building back trust between TXP "management" and the ownership of company. IMHO. |
DH-They will know exactly what oil /condensate they have produced each day as there will be morning reports every day from each facility. Im sure but not certain that the gas will be recorded (Metered) into the network at Central block and Cas What is more difficult in Trinidad is what they have sold as each facility (Bar the Gas sales) has to wait on Heritage to come and officially/physically pick up the crude and verify each facility sales by the end of the month. Sometimes they miss it by a few days so the sales carry over to following month. |
