bargainbob: Just when the need for trk tech goes up , the share price goes pop. Hmm
bones698: This is going under just loom at the chart and share price it's not hard to grasp. That along with the last update which was horrific and th fact they Are pretty much potless only means the end is near. I have been saying that for years and no it's finally arrived . Just glad I never listened to the rampers here and knew management had messed it up not getting deals. Last one out turn off the lights
barnes4: Is this going bust soon or is there a final spike coming? The share price performance is absolutely dreadful I

bodgit: TRK share price has seen very little benefit from the VW etc situation. The shares are little more than one tenth the price of 5 years ago, thats some destruction of shareholder value as measured by the share price - so much for all the seemingly over generous bonuses and pay offs. Still do not know whether JD actually was 'economical with the truth' to TPSA reps last November though afaik none of his promises/predictions in the time frame he set have come to fruition. Hmmmmm. Good luck all.
bodgit: Back from my cycling holiday in Germany where the weather was every bit as miserable as the TRK share price...... Several years ago at an AGM, I enquired of the Board what they could tell us about the (then) pan European project considering technology for/of the next generation of automotive small diesel engines. I think it was DE at the time who said that the TRK pressure charging system was the chosen one. Maybe that project died a death or TRK's involvement with it did? Who knows though AFAIK we have heard nothing about it since. Anyone here know anymore than that? Good luck all.
bodgit: BBC web site - "The FTSE 100 share index has hit a new high, passing through the previous record set on 30 December 1999." Torotrak fell, again. Go figure. TRK shares issued July 1998 at 3 pounds each, rose to over 6 pounds and now look where they are at. It's a rather curious situation where that level of long term TRK share price performance is deemed worthy of bonus payments to Directors. Yet another time to buy then? Aaaaaarggh. Good luck all.
bodgit: I experienced several different emotions - none of which will make a jot of difference to the TRK share price. What NB/JD/RV shared with us just might, finally, produce some jam, though not exactly tomorrow - as its Sunday. I came away feeling short changed on time (meeting one hour approx.)though happier about my level of risk with these shares. There is a lot going on - but I cant tell you anymore than that - help, I've gone native........ Torotrak shares compared with a bike? Hmmmm, let me see now, TRK shares can go down hill further and faster than my bike and they struggle to get back up to the top again much more than my bike does. Is that a draw? Good luck all.
bodgit: Thanks 3p. Looks like the price of a Flybrid KERS is falling faster than the TRK share price?! From all I have read and heard, there does not appear to be any technical/engineering show stopper lurking in the wings to scupper Flybrid. So now, I'm guessing of course, the execution risk remains though that has been substantially reduced too. Roll on one or more 'respectable' OEMs and/or Tier ones going into serious volume production for buses/trucks,cars etc. Then it really could be 'game on' for long suffering shareholders with dividends following on..... Only another 'few' (used a word with no specific numerical meaning just to show I've learnt something from Torotrak!) years to wait then....... Good luck all.
pseudosphere: Bearable There is no good reason to assume that the historic peak, in TRK share price performance, will be revisited. It was predicated on 80% market penetration, for all automatic transmissions, by 2010, occurred during the bubble and there were far fewer shares in issue. Market penetration is currently a staggering 0%! If we discount the £6 peak and put it down to as irrational over-exuberance, unlikely to be repeated, then there are other ever reducing peaks at approximately £2, £1.25, 80p, 48p, 42p etc. If we think that an 'equivalent' opportunity should be scaled by the degree of share dilution then a previous £2 peak would therefore now only be 82.5p - multiply by 113/274 (millions of shares in issue then/now). Investors are not always rational, which can be handy at times and a bit of hysteria could boost the share price further than otherwise expected. New investors may have much lower expectations, if their first purchase was at 18-20p, rather than at several pounds. They might regard a 3-bagger (for them),at say 60p, as a truly fantastic exit-point and might actually be happy with a lot less! It's mostly down to psychology and whether people truly believe that the prospects for Torotrak now are actually better than they previously believed (however mistakenly) in 1998, 2000, 2004, or whenever. I have considerably lowered my expectations, in the light of experience and after 14+ years of disappointment: 50p good, 80p fantastic and anything above £1 the stuff of dreams - but opinions will differ.
