06/6/2024 05:59 | Morning I'm pleased you enjoyed Paris gates and it does sound lovely, it was such a shame when Notre Dame was struck by fire and good to hear the restoration is almost complete You know I think Jonners has really bonded with the motorhome | 2gekko
05/6/2024 20:34 | So pleased you had a great time. Paris has indeed got some beautiful areas and buildings. Parisians are very proud of their city and are different from the rest of the French and I have not seen enough of Paris when I have been as usually been there on business and not had time to site see for long. I am Jealous of your trip. Motorhome window is bonded. Not as neat as I hoped and really struggled to squeeze enough adhesive into the joints. I thought I had put enough in but could have done with 50% larger bead. I really thought I had enough in the gaps. Anyway it is what it is and will be fine and just have a couple of bits to make sure are sealed once set, and seal up the drain hole I made to get pooled water inside to drain out. | jonjonck
05/6/2024 16:16 | Not been the weather to do it, set it all up, got prepared and the wind picked up and then been a few rain storms. Really annoying....well, more frustrating I suppose. | jonjonck
05/6/2024 15:56 | Good luck with the window and I hope you don't come unstuck | 2gekko
05/6/2024 11:38 | We drove to Dunkeld with the air conditioning going full blast, and we drove home with the heater going full blast there was that big a change in temperature. After lunch has settled and I have finished my coffee, I am going to attempt to bond the Motorhome window. I am still trying to figure out how I am actually going to achieve getting the adhesive into the joint without making a mess or any dripping down inside the window. | jonjonck
05/6/2024 10:42 | A sensor would be good, it doesn't turn itself off which is good but the battery does run down overtime and this caught me out yesterday, I waited until there were six of them and hit them remote trigger, nothing happened as battery had run out lol It's always nice to have a good meal out and like yourself I can't stand anywhere really busy | 2gekko
05/6/2024 08:31 | Good Morning. What a brilliant idea 2G. Maybe I could make a sensor system for you and adapt the remote so the birds trigger it automatically. We had a really great time in Dunkeld last night and a nice meal. Place we had booked turned out to be way too busy and was going to be over an hour to get food, hot and noisy. So we relocated to another restaurant which was much nicer and food was very good -- but was nearly twice the price but worth it as we had peace to chat. | jonjonck
05/6/2024 06:04 | Morning Don't laugh but I have found a good solution to the problem of pigeons landing and chewing at my gravel, I've tried all the pepper , vinegar etc which didn't work and a week ago bought a remote control car, when they land I just move it about a foot and they panic and fly away, love it | 2gekko
04/6/2024 21:39 | After watching I need to reform my thoughts. | rovi70
04/6/2024 19:43 | I'm all ready for the Rishi and Keir debate at 9pm, I may well vote Reform this time having voted Conservative my whole life but feel like they have taken us for fools | 2gekko

04/6/2024 09:45 | Added £44 divi to it a few days ago. Cannot remember who it was from...possibly Lloyds Bank. | jonjonck
04/6/2024 09:10 | I didn't expect it to cost so much, yes repair is way to go Don't forget to top up your tab before you go | 2gekko
04/6/2024 08:12 | Found one in Italy...do not ship to the UK (since Brexit), but could get shipped to friends in Slovenia. 425 Euro which is a more sensible price. So looks like I am bonding. Got fresh adhesive coming hopefully tomorrow. Play is curtailed this morning by heavy rain. | jonjonck
04/6/2024 07:48 | Found one place which sells them but currently out of stock. £750. Ouch! | jonjonck
04/6/2024 06:47 | I have managed to bond one side all the way to the top. If I can do in situ it will be much easier. I will have a search today and see if replacements are available off the shelf ....you never know. | jonjonck
04/6/2024 05:51 | Morning Can you get a replacement window, times a little tight isn't it | 2gekko
03/6/2024 18:39 | I have a problem. One of the windows on the Motorhome delaminated along the bottom and part of the sides a few years ago which I repaired. It is now delaminating up rest of sides and along the top. So now I need to remove the window and re-bond it which is a big awkward job but needs to be done. | jonjonck
03/6/2024 14:42 | Motorhome locker all cleaned out and stuff tidied up, ramps and rubber mats washed and a few essentials added. | jonjonck |
