22/5/2015 16:20 | 100p reached. Not a bad recovery from the depressed price not so long ago! How high will it go is the question? Might recover my original investment at this rate ;-) | lauders
20/5/2015 08:47 | Getting closer to the share price though! Paul Tudor Jones says 'losers average losers'. They're obviously not listening :). | richf75
20/5/2015 08:28 | What is CA's average now? Must be pretty horrendous? | funkmasterp12
20/5/2015 08:13 | CA over 15% | richf75
19/5/2015 17:06 | Big buys at the end of the day. Someone wants to accumulate stock. Despite some PI's selling through the day I reckon Wednesday will see old THT pass and stay passed the £1.00 mark. Neck out £1.10 Friday. | stud-muffin
19/5/2015 14:51 | Or blondeamon.. | uppompeii
18/5/2015 17:12 | Nice bowl formation now in play.....Onwards and upwards......K | kumala
18/5/2015 16:41 | Over the £1 barrier very soon now surely! What an intriguing month it's been. | europa79
18/5/2015 15:52 | Anyone still struggling with the writing on the wall? THT is about to be bid for. My guess about £1.40. I do not think folk will have to wait long - this week? I think so. GLA Ps do not sell - I added 5000 this morning at 92.7p - every little helps. | stud-muffin
18/5/2015 15:42 | Gone positive....Harriet Green is available... :o) | maximillian1
18/5/2015 12:48 | Ah and back to where we started the day. With JH leaving i would have thought whoever is driving this would be wanting to get some positive news out into the marketplace as quickly as possible. Maybe a holdings rns in the offing? | fozzie
18/5/2015 12:43 | As others have said "Something must be going on in the background". Sure we are going to find out whether it is all smoke and mirrors or there really is something happening. Very interesting times for sure given the recent strength from the lows. | lauders
18/5/2015 11:21 | Share price reaction today would suggest that the market isn't too concerned about Hart's leaving. Another nice CA buy here would be nice. | fozzie
18/5/2015 09:25 | I agree Tudes, he has failed to sustain the FMCG strategy which was always going to be the biggest test. It'll be interesting to see what the next incumbent does - my guess would be to kitchen sink it and ditch the majority of the land estate. | funkmasterp12
18/5/2015 08:40 | Hart has been a disaster for the Thorntons brand. Its easy to take a brand downmarket (and he certainly managed that in 4 years) but once you have there is never any chance of moving it back. I'm not holding so only an interested bystander but when I worked in the confectionery industry THT was a watchword for quality and premium values (according to consumers not me !). I'm sure if I sat in consumer research groups now customers would not be saying the same thing. Widening your distribution channels and making yourself more mass market is a credible strategy. It only works however if you can generate significant volume increases which will drive your profitability and enable you to then invest more in your brand. Hart has failed miserably to do this. | tudes100
18/5/2015 08:26 | Chart shows an INVH&S with a target of approx 103.5 | bamboo2
18/5/2015 08:03 | I think he has left because someone wanted him out of the way. Perhaps he wanted to stay on and complete his strategy but someone didn't want him to. The way the share price has risen since results has been strange and unexpected, there has to be something going on here imo. | fozzie
18/5/2015 07:58 | Think Crystal Ambers influence may well have had something to do with the demise of Jonathan Hart. After 4 years his reign has not produced any great results so glad to see this. Inevitably share price may take an initial dip but longer term see today's announcement as a good move. Others agree? | nigelmoat
18/5/2015 07:54 | Interesting - Hart going..... Not exactly a scheduled departure - one month. I would have thought 3 would have been the min. | stud-muffin
18/5/2015 07:22 | So much for that stud... | miti 1000
16/5/2015 11:59 | That little spike down lasted about a minute and no one who sold below 95p could have bought back for less. I expect this to open higher and continue to £1.15 plus over the next two weeks. I will top slice and hold maybe 75,000 max when we hit £1.25p. | stud-muffin
15/5/2015 15:15 | The alternative trading market, went long ago - not certain whether THT is traded elsewhere? Anyone know? | stud-muffin
15/5/2015 14:25 | Well the main thing is the strength..would like to have seen a pull back to about 83 mark..then up...... What was Plus ? | maximillian1 |
