Posted at 29/6/2015 01:10 by lauders Thanks laserdisc and brando69. With a potential negative day or two coming, hence potential top-up opportunity, it may well be best to just sell THT at a pretty fixed price 144.75-145p and use the funds while there is likely to be some "blood on the street" with regards to the Greece situation. I have my eye on a few companies already:PRG CCT XAR BOO ARM EZJ Think all will end up much higher in future after any Greek blip this week ;-) Also possible top-up in NANO, but that is much riskier than the above at this stage IMO. |
Posted at 22/6/2015 07:27 by stud-muffin It was really so obvious - the endless buying after a frankly dismal TSThen Hart leaving with min notice. I have expected the Sunday Times to carry a bid story for the past three weeks. End of a very profitable line for me and I hope not the end of THT as a UK employer. As an aside £1.45 is cheap - even with the pension deficit - the market looks like it might squeeze them for a little more. If you do not need the money I might well hold off selling as it might not be their best and final offer. |
Posted at 22/6/2015 07:14 by stud-muffin My crystal ball was bang on the money almost to the penny.A £100k day for me here. think I might take the rest of the day/week off. For those in doubt I have been up front and pretty much spot on with THT for the past two years. |
Posted at 17/6/2015 00:58 by lauders In the meantime, while we wait for any news to hopefully propel us northwards, here is a link to a comparison of THT's and Hotel Chocolat's websites:THT did not come out too badly and it is nice to see that a representative from THT was the first to respond to the article. Hotel Chocolat did not miss the opportunity to reply either though. |
Posted at 16/6/2015 16:52 by lauders More THT for CA! They certainly find THT rather sweet & tasty. I wonder why? Suppose we will find out one day. Just hope I am patient enough ;-) |
Posted at 09/6/2015 09:38 by stud-muffin Max - Caught that, hmmm your gunsights are way higher than mine with THT.I can see no reason for CA to have took such a sizeable position here unless they are aware of a bigger plan. They have to a large extent added 50% to the share price since March 15. From the last 'tin hats on' TS THT have risen but realistically unless they find a massive oil reserve under their bit of Alfreton who ever wants THT would not need to bid above £1.60p imv. That is what I expect to see here very shortly, Hart leaving I am taking as a marker for that event, indeed he could be part of the bid team. In any event I will be more than happy with anything North of £1.40 GL |
Posted at 08/6/2015 16:53 by stud-muffin Not sure abut the site or even the virtue of making abroad - but I would like to see THT move upward Tuesday, we have let enough off the bus time to move up again? My guess is there is a pretty bug buy order being worked through holding the share price against some selling. If we clear this next stop looks like high teens/early twenties at which point I think any rise will be on the back of solid bid news. |
Posted at 02/6/2015 00:26 by lauders WOW! Talk about a bullish reversal on the day! What is going on at THT? As others have said, there must be a reason for this strength. With luck some good news will be on its way this week. Not exactly water-tight if something does get announced though. Obviously a few people are in the know. Could be CA just buying, buying, buying of course. But why? Intriguing..... |
Posted at 01/6/2015 15:31 by stud-muffin Hmmm a day or so out but the result looks the same.Pretty sure poor old THT is going thee way of Cadbury's - £1.40 is my guess. 100% (and predicted on here from the start - so no hindsight stuff) since April. Way to go.... |
Posted at 25/2/2015 07:08 by stud-muffin Sill aiming for £5 . Well £4-50 actually. The nice thing about QPP was the opportunity to buy at 30p I had in December. That and the rise to £1.30 three weeks later. Both enabled me to reduce my average to a little over a pound. Will they get to £5? Depends on what S&G offer among a few others. If they offer £1.60 a share for half the company I think £4-50 is pretty much nailed on. If they do not then I suspect it will be because they cannot raise the cash or the offer will be rejected. Dependant on the other issues QPP could easily finish this year at over £3, either way I am more comfortable with QPP than I have been for a good while. Coming back to THT I am starting to like them at these levels, not hugely but if they fall to 65p I will grab another 10k likewise if they go to 50p I will add more. Bare in mind my biggest purchase of THT was below 20p and a chunk at 12p so I am looking for history to repeat itself which I accept is unlikely. GL all longs here, Hart's strategy looks to me to be the only real option THT had given the state of the high street, if I have a concern its the quality of the product and the brand damage pedalling cheap poor quality chocolates whilst still trying to maintain a premium image. |
