Not my fault the share price has gone up - I have bought no more.

Tricksy little share THT - the MM's delay buys like no other and seem to love to drop them in later to appear as sells.

Hey ho.

GLA longs - Maybe Blackrock are buying back. They have been short for a long time and now look like they are simply paying fees and losing at the same time.

I make next weekend the quarter end since the interims were 28 weeks to 10 Jan. Does that mean trading update Monday after next does anyone know or will it be a few days later?

Do we have signs of life here? I hope so. Would be nice to see some recovery and a positive Easter update!

Bought another 75,000 today.

Hope its not just me driving the share price up.

150k bought, may buy anther 75k dependent on what QPP does.

I could hold as many as I did a year ago but for half the price I sold them at.

Roll on £1.25 or a bid - which ever comes sooner!

Hope everyone has been or still is tucking-in to a few Easter eggs LOL! Let's see if there is any good news/update going forward. If not it will be very disappointing. Hope you are all enjoying (by the time you read this I hope the past tense!) your long weekend!

The CEO has not used the dreaded ''profit warning'' words

Despite a latest quarter fall in turnover of 7.6%

Positive spin has been liberally applied to make the RNS palatable

Has the market swallowed it ?

Well looking at the drop that is a resounding

no way Hose ( spanish Hose not a the garden variety )

So what now for Mr Hart ?

It's all now resting on the next set of quarterly results

If it's negative eg another circa 4% drop then he must issue a profit warning

The market reaction then will be savage

Any recovery from today will be wiped out in the first 15 mins of trading is my take

Plus a Chart support level will get tested

I am talking 75p here

Took a fair chunk out of QPP - bought 70,000 here.

Not at all sure this is the low - they have to get the 'new' strategy working but I will invest further at 60p and 50p if they get there. Conversely if they rise I will round up to 100k.

The current market cap looks very low to me - I cannot believe a predator is not looking to make a move. My sell price is back to £1.20 or November 2014.

In between THT get your act together - peers make a solid 10% net which should mean £22m PBT and pay a divvy. You are making/selling chocolate not really tricky and have been doing so for a 100 years.

If we get down to 50p or below then Hart's time will be up - the decision then will be to slim down to a core high margin company or look at the cost base and savage it to go truly mass market - I note 'Premium' 200g boxes for a quid at Argos almost suggests they have done that already.

Thornton ,,,moving from niche to main stream..thats what matters...volume...and more volume...

Poundland yes please....not bothering other suppliers....to deal with them..

Off course Hotel chocolate are much better imo.....But Bentleys cost more than Fords....but they sell far less..

Horses for Courses comes to mind......solid close today..:o)

Oh dear, Thorntons chocolates the five pounds boxes been sold for a quid a box at argos

hxxp://www.argos.co.uk/static/Search/searchTerm/Thorntons+.htm

Next tactical move from here, suggests pound land will be getting them in next.

Poor signal for the future

There is no xfactor promotion with Thorntons, Google it, the last time xfactor had anything to do with Thorntons, the name Kate was in front of it, I believe they sacked her

Well I would have hoped they learnt their lesson justwondering. They say they have and the warehouse matter is sorted, so we shall see I guess! Not clever for sure. Like the stated link-up with the X-factor that I noted in the link I gave above. Can't seem to open it now, but sure they stated there was a promotion re: the X-factor which must be good for awareness/business.

Can you link to statements when you post them please Max. Saves a lot of searching unless it is really obvious to see. All I see about the future was caution (slide 36) in the presentation given here:
