To be fair you only have to look at the Norwegian model to see whats wrong.

Tell me have they EVER made a profit?

A fleet of 160 aircraft with another 100 plus on order and a debt mountain that grows daily. Emergency funding provided last week.

People get confused at TCG..........they look at net debt at 389 and think thats ok.
However to arrive at that figure they are using cash in the business for flights/holidays not yet taken.
Debt as i see it is 1.427 billion.

Then you look at these items that will need paying or refinancing.

In November 2017 the Group entered into new financing arrangements amounting to GBP975 million. These include an enlarged GBP875-million revolving credit facility and bonding and guarantee facility, maturing in November 2022. In addition, the Group has a GBP100-million annual rolling bilateral funding from one of our insurance providers.

875 million that needs paying in November 2022 just 3 and a half years away.

They will just push it forward again.

Interesting when you look at the assets the biggest gain this last year was a revaluation of Derivatives re currency fuel hedging.

I just see very little in this for shareholders who like in FLYBE will get wiped out

Steptoe if they had £2 profit per customer they would not be in such a mess

Have they thought of a way yet to improve on £2 net profit per customer on £9 billion turnover?

The Banks will just take the hotels and sell them to get there money so yes they are happy and they will get a very cheap hotel most likely.

Knowing

They already own this house and they are using it as colateral to pay for the running of the company and i would say because of Brexit bookings are down so they need to raise money.

If you go back over the last 10 yrs you will see they have sold ninty percent of there assetts its just a question of going bust or somebody buys them

I have noted that Tui are selling 2020 hols already.
This should mean they have two account
years running as any proceeds for 2020/21 must be not be included in the previous tax year.
But they are getting the money in earlier!!
I had an email from Tui advertising their 2020 hols with direct debit facilities, balance paid 98 days before departure, that is 14 weeks. Currently with them is 12 weeks.
All ploys to get you paid up earlier all the time.

It all depends on the city. We know Q1 wasnt good but its the forward guidance that will give the share price a boost. Big week next week for TCG holders. 45p minimum pre 7th.

Well, the forward guidance is good. A chap working at TCG was saying, 90% summer packages have been sold and cost saving measures to be introduced are also having a positive effect. Staff were told in a breifing , things are looking good.

Update on 7th Feb for 1st quarter. Forward guidance is bullish and most packages have been booked for the summer. So assumption is if the market likes it, we could do A YU increase. Looking at a decent rise from Tuesday and 50% increase on 7th. Target 50p to 60p plus .
