Everyone in the market knows that many companies may have had a weaker than expected first quarter (hopefully not at THG) due to the War, inflation and energy crisis so MM could kitchen sink it tomorrow, who knows. Hopefully not but more importantly is his outlook for the future at all divisions and wether he provides any updates on the corporate action that he so desires. His silence this year has been deafening but you don't tell GQ that you may take it private, talk to PE and then appoint a big hitting independent Chairman with a history of deal making if you are not deadly serious. It's too late obviously to do anything now for tomorrow, and it may tank such is the short-sightedness of the corrupt Professional traders on the LSE but one way or the other this will be multiples of where it is today in the near future imo. In feb there was rumours of private equity companies biddin for thg, games are being played, they trying to bully the board in selling the company on cheap. Imho4 years ago thg got an offer of 4bn which was refused, whats changed since then?Company is way larger now..In feb share price was 130p, then we got an false article which pushed the share price further down, never recovered since then.If q1 sales is in line with the projections from january i think we should see healthy rise.

It was a big hedge fund playing the book with about a million shares on the sell side (on LSE) - probably several million more on the broker pools.
It’s going to need a lot tomorrow to turn him away.

One short doesn’t make a market. It’s easily overwhelmed if volumes are strong. It’s just more manipulation. It’s been obvious for months. Why are you being negative, it doesn’t make sense?

It’s a common sense game. If the results are fair to good, the upside is far greater than the downside. Why spend energy pushing a negative agenda with a far lower downside.

I’d much rather have a lower close today and a positive report tomorrow than the other way round. We all know that this share is way over valued and most of the shorts are out now.

Following this thread I can't help but be excited to see the results tomorrow, but also very glad not to have anything riding on it, as I see this as a pure red or black gamble in terms of reaction. Even if the results are ok the market could easily find a reason to take it down again, or if the time is right the start of a recovery. Either way I will sleep well tonight which is worth it's weight in gold. There will be time to get on board the train if this really is going to re-rate substantially
