05/1/2024 20:24 | There are some big names in discussion with ingenuity. Let's hope we close some deals and inform the market. Heard it for a while now but Im confident we will get some over the line | ![]() griffo221
05/1/2024 19:56 | Bob That’s true its not a growth company. It needs a new model, that’s why it needs to be split and possibly sold in order to be sustainable and realise its true valuation as 3 independent entities. But Matt won’t do any of that voluntarily as he’s control freak living in the past - That’s the polite description! | hades1
05/1/2024 19:53 | I have a BE in some accounts of £1.50 and £2. Is THG a growth stock with projections of 0 to - 5% revenue? I hope genuine growth returns when the macros improve. | ![]() leoneobull
05/1/2024 19:01 | Agree Ingenuity has to improve and increase GMV margins, but there is a billion dollar customer in the pipeline that we should be updated about in a few weeks.Do you think THG is still a growth company? Now it's split, and if one gets listed separately, I can't see how it can beRoll on results day :) | ![]() billionarebob
05/1/2024 18:53 | I really don’t think you are right? However I would be delighted but ENORMOUSLY surprised if you are. Bob THG have cut Capex so many times and now reporting estimated -5 to flat revenue growth as a wrongly categorised growth company. To be fair the problem is Ingenuity as it just sucks everything out of the group. Obviously most of the Capex is spent maintaining the ingenuity offering but that’s the problem. Ingenuity is unsustainable and should be closed, abandoned and the remnants sold or sold as a whole but I frankly think that would be impossible in today’s world. | hades1
05/1/2024 18:35 | A short term capex cut and update on Nutrition partnership/listing would certainly help the share price :) | ![]() billionarebob
05/1/2024 18:31 | Cutting capex isn’t viewed favourably with a ‘growth’ company. I know THG have done it but it shows desperation unless it’s a short term measure. Sadly it’s happened so many times it’s now long term and we are no longer growing. Not ideal but already in the price. Cutting Capex any more won’t be taken well. Would be better just to close Ingenuity. It’s not a viable business in our new world as it requires too much investment and resources that THG just don’t have access to anymore. That would put a rocket under the share price! | hades1
05/1/2024 18:25 | BigT you don't seem happy about THG earning millions of free dosh from Iceland infact you don't seem happy about THG full stop. Regarding capex we will just have to wait and see. All will be revealed in a few weeks time :) | ![]() billionarebob
05/1/2024 18:23 | billionarebob 5 Jan '24 - 18:07 - 62155 of 62156 0 0 0 BigT What part of the 7 million Iceland products sales that increases our bottom line by a couple of mill --> Thats the point, it only increase the Adjusted EBITDA by a couple of million, not huge amounts. | ![]() bigt20
05/1/2024 18:13 | billionarebob 4 Jan '24 - 11:23 - 62073 of 62154 0 0 0 SRS8 remember they still have the capex card, they said they can turn capex on and off like a tap. Reducing capex will increase profits :) -----> 1) Capex spend effects cash outflows in the current financial period and Depreciation and or Amortisation (depending on the type of Capex) in this and future financial periods. However THG reports Adjusted EBITDA which excludes the effects of Depreciation and Amortisation so cutting back on capex will not have any effect on Adjusted EBITDA. 2) They have cut capex from approx to £200m to a target of approx £130m. BUT there is a limit as to how much they can turn the tap. Approx £65m relates to IT software engineers producing and keeping the websites working. Then you need to spend money on IT servers etc to keep the data centre side of the business working ok. | ![]() bigt20
05/1/2024 18:07 | BigT Don't you mean a gold medal for posting facts with links. What part of the 7 million Iceland products sales that increases our bottom line by a couple of mill with no risk don't ya like Anyone would think ya don't want THG to do well :) ------ Celebrating 12 months Iceland partnership 7 million units sold across 20 SKUs 2024 should see 14 million plus units sold now we have 40 products selling across 3 stores, Iceland, Warehouse & The Range What a remarkable journey it has been since we unveiled our collaboration with Myprotein exactly a year ago! In this transformative period, we are proud to share that we've achieved phenomenal success, with over 7 million units sold across 20 SKUs. | ![]() billionarebob
