08/3/2023 10:42 | A while back, and against my better judgement, I thought I'd take a punt in the hope of a bounce. Currently nursing a small loss. | casholaa
08/3/2023 10:19 | Another warning and could be 12p Snow will be keeping people Away | onjohn
08/3/2023 10:18 | Looks fuct | onjohn
08/3/2023 10:13 | Where I live The Works is always active and they tell me the boss who visits is happy because they are beating their targets each time. This cannot be confined to just one store. The interim forecast was to achieve market expectations, I expect they will be ahead of them. | harry_david
15/2/2023 19:55 | Still not helping the share price !! | s34icknote
15/2/2023 18:56 | Local works seemed pretty busy over half term. | hocuspocus1
13/2/2023 14:33 | Great to see my local Works flat out, two on the counter and a queue waiting. St Valentine of course but not usually the first one I would have thought of for the day. | harry_david
10/2/2023 10:59 | Doesn't seam to have much support Card should do 10p eps so Pe of 10 Works ? | s34icknote
10/2/2023 10:39 | A lot of sellers this morning. | crumppot
03/2/2023 01:19 | So the cardfactory now has a P/E ratio in triple digits and yet theworks stock langushishes 8 pennies off the yearly low. Margins are better than cardfactory. This during a cost of living crisis which would make it's 'value premise' even more attractive. A real conundrum. Looks like the market thinks theworks are better off selling flip-flops like shoezone. | earseeker
01/2/2023 17:24 | Quite a few of them were mine. It was a strange and unusually fortunate day for me as I sold a chunk around 32.5p to get some money for something else but then decided to sell another something else instead and when the price dropped to 31p I still had the money, so in the end I bought back more than I had sold earlier! | chinahere
01/2/2023 17:08 | Lot of trades today | crumppot
31/1/2023 22:26 | crumpet their trading statements are amateurish, you must see this, and I don't mean the errors. Hopefully the errors are in the past. I have been a recent buyer despite this as the business has a clear future with its great turnover to base it on. | harry_david
31/1/2023 20:53 | Harry, what do you think they should have said differently? I went back in today | crumppot
31/1/2023 20:25 | darrin I was too, but they have a lot to learn about trading statements, for some reason they always overlook the obvious. | harry_david
31/1/2023 16:53 | I was disappointed the bumper Christmas sales instore did not translate to an above expectations outlook. | darrin1471
31/1/2023 13:18 | Come on, hands up those who had to look up: 'ephemeral' ? | starpukka
31/1/2023 11:13 | Darrin. Makes sense. The figures were not too bad but maybe there was too much price steam before the announcement and new shareholders interest was ephemeral. | crumppot
31/1/2023 11:08 | Theory: Lots of new shareholders after Hoyle sold shares. Some may be having second thoughts after WRKS were unable to convert higher sales into higher profits. | darrin1471
31/1/2023 10:41 | With Downing increasing their holding as well as Coulthard, I am surprised to see the price edging lower. Has anyone got any thoughts on why other buyers aren't piling in? | crumppot
30/1/2023 14:27 | Downing increased holding from 3.12% to 4.40% - Downing are a strong value investor with a lot of knowledge of the retail sector. They would have scrutinized the last update before committing more funds to WRKS. | simmsc
24/1/2023 18:02 | Surprised the shares ended down !! | s34icknote
24/1/2023 14:23 | have to say that is excellent news Graeme Coulthard buying more shares....bodes well for a p/e bid hopefully....will hold on to my stake accordingly, let's hope he ups the ante and gets his old firm to bid for this firm! DYOR | qs99
24/1/2023 13:46 | Correct private investor, no involvement in the sale of the AA For the record between Aug 2020 and November 2020, he purchased 9050000 shares in the AA at an average 0.308442308 Cost £2,791,382 Sold 3255881 £3,255,881 Profit £464,499 Not a bad return for 5 month, I believe he sees value in The Works, hence his buying. | strikehot |
