02/2/2017 15:32 | Some idle thoughts on Olisol: - Their 63 million shares were bought at 10 US cents. It would be crazy for them to dump these at an share price much lower. They paid $6.3 million for them and on paper are now worth less than $1 million -- already a paper loss of more than $5 million. - The $1 million bank loan they arranged for TPL matures, I believe, this summer sometime. TPL will have to repay that. - The "working capital loan" situation where Olisol gave around $5 million to TPL appears to be in limbo, to TPL's favour. Last time I checked I couldn't find any terms re. repayment of those funds in the binding agreement. Last we heard about it Olisol said they would submit an enforcement order and send the bailiffs to TPL. That was a few months ago and TPL hasn't said anything about it (AFAIK). Legally, as the binding agreement defined jurisdiction as the courts of England and Wales / British Colombia, Olisol would have to sue TPL in those courts, rather than in Kaz. As Olisol appear a deeply corrupt bunch I don't know whether they would dare to try that. - The jointly owned oil terminal between Olisol and TPL was already written off by TPL (from memory I believe they put a value of zero against it in the last quarterly results), so I don't see the potential loss of this asset affecting TPL greatly, especially if they are already shipping their oil to e.g. the Kumars. After their recent setback in the courts it appears Olisol are in a catch 22 lose-lose situation now? I am not sure how Olisol will be able to get their $5 million loan back from TPL without either: 1. Taking TPL to court in England/Canada or 2. Coming to an agreement with TPL. | casual47
02/2/2017 14:32 | Anybody woken up the Canadians yet? | temporarily insane
02/2/2017 12:38 | Interesting. Cheers casual47. | temporarily insane
02/2/2017 12:15 | TI, the share price was in the 1.5p region *before* Olisol pulled out and started the various court cases and TPL's bank accounts got frozen. Most of the recent news has just been undoing what was done after the share price had already drifted down to 1.5 (e.g. same with gas supply contract). On shares where you get lots of hype and visibility you might get very temporary PI driven spikes on news like this but TPL has virtually been abandoned by PIs, it's just us poor mugs here now. So, any rise, especially a sustained one, ought to happen only because of fundamentals. The fundamental in TPL's case being.....MONEY | casual47
02/2/2017 12:06 | I would have thought that the release of the bank accounts and closure of the court case would have give us more of a rise than this! Its quite an important milestone or are the people shorting on every opportunity just fully bent? | temporarily insane
02/2/2017 09:56 | Comprehensive information charts, tables showing short selling on TSX for Tethys. | temporarily insane
02/2/2017 09:50 | Hi Devonlad, a knock at some point in the future sounds good. You'll have to come down to see the £500k robot working that I just bought, brilliant bit of kit :) Also if you look on the local District Council planning portal you will see that I will obtain the planning consent for a 10 acre trading estate upon the Airfield, and that I am also buying another 30 acres up there too :) Let me know when your about DL & I'll pop down to meet you for lunch etc. | dorset64
02/2/2017 09:44 | Meanwhile where are the RNS's? I see nothing on ADVFN. | temporarily insane
02/2/2017 09:40 | Very interesting article re my above comment. Definitely worth a listen/watch whilst it relates to the above trades. Could it be that the market makers are shorting the share price to keep it in line with the TSX or to keep it low ready for a large buy. | temporarily insane

01/2/2017 22:37 | Hi Dorset, will give you a call at some point, sounds nasty, didn't have a great xmas myself but not quite that bad. Mentally busy but all good and at least TPL seems to be on the mend! Six months out at this time of the year, could have timed it worse, we must go for a knock at some point at High Bullen, haven't hit a thing for a year now but the kids have come close. TPL, roll on the gas exports! | devonlad
01/2/2017 22:33 | TI, Thanks. At one stage, the share price was averaging at 3.5 cents when it was 3m in volume and then the shorts and those wanting to exit, started to sell out, hence it came down to 3 cents. When more positive news is released as the hurdles are overcome step by step, I expect the price to start moving up !. Let us see what happens when trading on the LSE commences tomorrow. I think MM's may decide to move to a wider range of between 1.5 - 2.00p, with a spread of 0.5p. | hguess16
01/2/2017 21:42 | TI, I think it's just not the news they wanted, good news but not " TPL is saved" news. I am thinking we will see some fireworks when that is announced. | 1399peter

01/2/2017 18:38 | 5 million plus on da tsx! | ratfan
01/2/2017 17:18 | It looks like Olisol is hellbent on burning its own boats !. Not surprising, following their "interesting, but disappointing" performance at the SGM. Now Tethys management has to set up new trading relationships with, no doubt, the Kumars' active support !. This is just another step in the road to recovery !. | hguess16
01/2/2017 16:59 | and good volume too | casual47
01/2/2017 16:48 | Looks like the TSX has woken up | 1399peter |
