07/10/2020 09:17 | Ross Hindle, an analyst at the research firm Third Bridge, said the past six months had been characterised by larger weekly shops as well as a significant move towards online retail. “However, retailer infrastructure wasn’t prepared for a surge in demand, so higher costs were incurred and the move to online has also created problems,” he said. 07/10/2020 09:14 | It always concerns me when a company has difficulty in presenting a clear picture of its eps line. After all, it is the most important number for an investor in a public company to be tracking. The eps line in these figures (when you do eventually find it) seems to be an apology by the accounting profession that they cannot come up with a meaningful number.Pathetic! I do not hold Tesco shares but feel sorry for the private investors who do and have to put up with this kind of thing. | ygor705 | |
