Morrisons to become sole UK wholesale supply partner for McColl's.
Morrisons is pleased to announce a major new, long-term wholesale supply initiative with McColl's, which will take wholesale supply sales to more than GBP1bn in due course.

Morrisons is to start supplying both Safeway products and national brands to 1,300 McColl's convenience shops and 350 newsagents across the UK(1) . The new partnership will replace all McColl's existing supply arrangements in time.

Morrisons will supply McColl's shops, with a phased programme starting in January 2018. By the end of 2018, we expect total annualised wholesale sales to all our partners to be in excess of GBP700m (inc. tobacco). We expect this new initiative to make an initial profit contribution in 2018/19, and increase thereafter.

Can nobody think for themselves nowadays and have views which could be perceived as both left and right ?

Surely you're not all clones who blindly follow a flawed ideology whether it's one side or the other ???

Hate to think that anyone has me down as a socialist after my rant.
Far from it.
Just not enough space and time for me to express the limitations of socialism.

Careful, A good list and a nice reminder of why i have been a life long socialist.

BRexit is different and far bigger than a miners strike or pole tax and he see's it. See where the liberals are right now ? that is where the tories are heading when it sinks in to joe public that we are screwed. True the labour party were invisable in the pre-vote debate but that will go in their favour as the tories will have no mud to throw back.

From the fastest growing G7 member to the slowest in one year. That is some fall.

There are millions of us.
Who gives a damn what Parris thinks, just one opinion of many.
He actually gets paid for writing such guff.
He probably could not think of anything interesting.

At least the public and the politicians are slowly learning more about what Brexit means.
I wonder how a referendum debate would be fought if it was held in 1 years time.

RE BRexit

A honest comment from Matthew Parris in yesterdays, the Times.

THE CONSERVATIVES ARE CRIMINALLY INCOMPETENT,

"Even in the bad times I felt pround of my party but this scarcely believable Brexit shambles has left me deeply ashamed"

Cont...

"I left Spain feeling ashamed to be British. I return to England ashamed to be a conservative".

The original idea of VAT was that it would be 10% on everything, then came the objectors "My stuff should be exempt." so exceptions were made and from it we built a huge bureaucracy to decide if e.g. Jaffa Cakes were biscuits or cakes and if children's clothes should be taxed at full or discounted or zero.

The whole thing has become an expensive nightmare to run and the civil servants love it.

Tax on Tampons and other toilet stuff like razors has been only 5% since 2001 and it's calculated that the saving to women if it was dropped to zero would be no more than a around fiver a year.
