Re Damian Saunders "The Hut Group has appointed a new non-executive director as it seeks to "bolster the expertise available to the board".Damian Sanders joins as an independent non-executive director of the group. He will join the board and take up the position of chair of the remuneration committee with immediate effect. In October, Sanders was appointed as an independent special advisor to the board's Audit & Risk committee and will remain on this committee while in his new role.He was most recently a senior audit partner at Deloitte in Manchester and a member of Deloitte's North West Leadership Team."Tbf this is reassuring, non exec who is trained in auditing

Realistically though now trying to IPO THG Beauty in 2022 without a recovery in THG shareprice is a pipe dream and will sink on day 1 if it actually makes it to market.Hypothetically what would happen to current share owners if it delisted and went to NASDAQ like Blue Prism (which as an IT engineer I know is a POS pointless product) wanted to do.Matt CEO owns a golden share they will need to keep the share price subdued to September 2023 for it to be bought out.Softbank well and truly is cursed.

This is the UK market. Short-sellers is many times larger than bulls. This is because value destructions are easier to make money on.

That's why the UK market is the world's dog; it trades in a range. I do not know why company lists here. Roo and Darktrace should have done it on NASDAQ.

Look how AO, BOO were walked up, at the end, it comes down to that the Market demands growth, growth, growth.

Barriers to entry.

You can't create 100 of tesla per week, but in China there are 400 EV manufacturers now, all wanting a piece of the pie.

"Amazon is not too big to fail ... In fact, I predict one day Amazon will fail," Bezos said in reply to a staffer who asked about big businesses like Sears going bankrupt. "Amazon will go bankrupt. If you look at large companies, their lifespans tend to be 30-plus years, not a hundred-plus years," he said.5 Jul 2021.

You should not be comparing apples with oranges. It takes time for value to be realised. Don't be surprised to see sub 100p by end of the year.

But the UK is not the US, where stimulus went in pumping stocks and buying debts of all bankrupt companies by the Fed.

This guy is no Bezos, Elon Musk, no Larry Page/ Brin.

Everything trades at a discount if you want to be educated; we have not arrived at the breakup value yet.

Do you need an explanation why it is also trading substantially below IPO price?

There will be a massive loss.

The stock market wants growth, growth growth, and the minute growth is cut, that's it.

It's growth or div.

Added some more at 255, 270 and 304. The main man may be dodgy but these people churn out money. If this was on nasdaq, it would be a 20 billion dollar company at least.

THG: WHAT TO MAKE OF NOT "A GREAT DAY" (1255 GMT) Losing close to 2 billion pounds in a day ain't just anotherday at the office."it has not been a great day", THG founder Matthew Mouldingtold the Daily Mail after a selloff wiped out over a third ofthe value of the British online retailer which only last yearcompleted the biggest London IPO since Royal Mail in 2013.But while the investor day organised on Tuesday to reassureinvestors sure didn't go according to plan, there were signseven earlier that THG's honeymoon with investors had ended."The Hut Group is no longer the City's digital darling", wasThe Telegraph's headline on Tuesday, hours before thepresentation. Indeed the company was already trading below its floatingprice, having been on a nasty downward trend since mid-Septemberand starting to attract the attention of short-sellers. According to the Daily Mail, it had been identified as ashort-selling opportunity at the beginning of October. Moreover, investors seem strangely reluctant to buy the dip, despite some big brokers advising clients to buy. Jefferies has a target price of 920 pence for THG, which isover three times the company's current share price of around 282pence. Jefferies reckons THG failed to convince investors aboutits equity case but sees "ongoing Q3 commercial progress as atimely reminder that execution to date has lived up to the IPOcommitments".Citi, also has a also 'buy' tag on the stock and a 900 pencetarget price. Goldman Sachs reduced its target from 900 pence to700 pence but retained its buy recommendation. For Russ Mould, investment director at AJ Bell, the dilemafacing investors can be summed up as following: "On one hand, sentiment is incredibly weak towards the stockand there is no point going against the flow if the market hasdecided THG is a dud", he wrote. "On the other hand, investors are now being given the chanceto snap up shares in a business at a price where the originalsource of excitement is now essentially thrown in for free". Mould was referring to Ingenuity, the unit THG said in Mayit planned to spin off. The recent slump in THG shares means thee-commerce services business market-implied value is now closeto zero.

major difference being that THG raised 900m quid in the IPO to strengthen its balance sheet and Aston Martin didn't raise anything. Plus the luxury car market went through a horror show
