Statement regarding share price movement







THG PLC ("THG or the "Group") notes the fall in the share price yesterday following the Capital Market Event, and confirms that it knows of no notifiable reason for the material share price movement, and that no material new information was disclosed at the event.



Since its IPO in September 2020, THG has consistently delivered ahead of its targets set at the time of IPO and recently reported a strong first half performance across all divisions, with Group revenue of £958.8m, +44.7% YoY (CCY).



The Group also has a very strong liquidity position as it enters its peak trading season, with available cash as at 30 September 2021 of £700.0m across long dated 3-5 year facilities.



THG is due to report its Q3 Trading Update on 26 October, and looks forward to updating investors in the ordinary course.

Newspaper articles referring to a "disastrous presentation" with investors as the trigger for the sudden plunge. Well, the content of this presentation must have been previously disclosed else an announcement would have had to have been made.My impression is that there was no such new information. Also the low volume (0. 5% of shares traded) would point to perhaps just one investor dumping based on the tone of the presentation. So the headline should read" "Investor Presentation of previously disclosed information seemingly caused a small number of shares to be dumped in a manner that resulted in the share pric falling 35%"

Just read online Analyst who said Wirecard was fraud and Debenhams and Carillion where doomed long before they did has wrote a report on THG where he has said shares are overvalued and has questioned accounting errors in 2019 and reoccurring exceptional expenses, apparently it was private report and was telling them to open shorts over the next two years down to 260 however it’s been published so they probably haven’t had time to open as much as they like, who knows where they will go from here
