18/6/2021 12:23 | A few last ones: andrbea 20 May '21 - 09:57 - 261340 Well put SW The world being held to ransom with iot hacking .... with a 180-day time fuse 'or ELSE' warning. Intel to refinery operator: security lifetime management, ypu say? "Ring DA". andrbea 20 May '21 - 10:47 - 261357 So a US oil refinery chooses a device lifecycle management solution, for the next 10-15 years, for its existing devices/sensors. And wants to have some onboarding expertise too, for future deployments. It has to sign on the dotted line with a solution provider quickly, if it wants to have the existing devices in the field made secure, by code-signing, by Biden's deadline. So that's a 15-year contract signed by year-end (or earlier, to get equipment secured). Worldwide, all owners of critical infrastructure with sweaty brows of worry (ranging from oil pipelines to surgical robots in hospitals) All ringing DA? Can you serve me first? OK, I can ring Wipro or Tech Mahindrah (global vendors) and they'll give me KeyScaler, ... because I need it today! Put a price on all those orders/enquiries ... and it's not a share price between 24p and 26p ..... :-) Still Waiting 20 May '21 - 10:49 - 261358 #manypoundsnotpence Mike Routhorn 20 May '21 - 11:05 - 261365 SW, Numbers. A billion devices, which is probably about 4% of the market, and let's use a ludicrously low figure of 10p per device per annum. £100m per annum. Let's use a stupid pe of 20 even though breakthrough technology goes off the scale pe-wise. A DA value of £2bn. Does anyone seriously imagine that Microsoft, Intel, Wipro etc (and also AWS apparently) are planning on cornering just 4% of the market between them? Who is picking up the other 96%? Preposterous market share, silly pricing and an extremely lowball pe and we still see £2bn. Tell me I'm wrong. Correct my figures. Show me the rival offerings. No? We could be about to see a re-rate that will put every previous re-rate on the market in the shade. Still Waiting 20 May '21 - 11:10 - 261371 of 261375 0 5 0 mike, my calculator starts to play up with anything more than $5bn.. that nets to about 523p just for DA. any more detailed calcs ? stentorian 20 May '21 - 15:55 - 261522 of 261524 0 2 0 This is my favourite Device Authority video Darron Antill 24 June 2019 At Tern PLC's Capital Markets Day. For some reason I can't find it on DA's website. 14:50 onwards When you listen to the Darron's presentation at the Capital Markets Day the slide is put into perspective he actually states "Do nothing or choose us[DA]". A little further on in the video when Darron is taking about Medical Robots and Systems Integrators he points out that "70% of the deal size is DA". He explains that is because the DA subscription goes on for years, 10, 15 years. This future revenue is worth a fortune. | andrbea
18/6/2021 12:22 | some reminders: Mike Routhorn 2 Jun '21 - 20:02 - 264730 Splendid RNS. Exactly what we wanted to hear. Now then. Given that the last stumbling block of an imminent and lowball placing has been removed by our CEO perhaps we could start to move towards fair value for our spectacularly exciting portfolio and today I reckon that ought to be £2 for starters on known knowns. However, there are so many angles of earth-shattering news possible given the aforementioned known knowns that we could be taking multiple quantum leaps even as we re-rate. I was one of the first to say pounds not pence back in the dark days of 3p and CLNs. I was roundly mocked by many. The only thing that has changed in my mind is that the number of pounds could turn out to be legendarily astonishing. Fun times folks :):):) Mike Routhorn - 17 May 2021 - 16:00:14 - 260009 SW, that $1bn = £1.50 for Tern figure misses other factors aside from the fact that DA is worth well north of $1bn anyway. 1) Tern have invested single digit millions in DA. If they pull single digit billions from it then the world will note the 1000 fold increase, a return of truly epic proportions. 2) It will be assumed that every other horse in the stable will return similar stratospheric payback and they will all be marked up accordingly. 3) Given that the BoD will very likely go on a shopping spree the size of the remaining portfolio will double or treble with every new addition being given a huge enterprise value from the off. In short, a reasonable exit value for DA based entirely on known knowns will have multiple factors pushing the price up by magnitudes on top of the raw cash that will push the price onto the pounds. Personally I think this brief and undefined period before the sale of DA is the only opportunity that people will get to buy Tern at anything under a fiver jerseymike 10 May '21 - 12:31 - 257086 6.000 Tern plc turns disruptive technology into disruptive business models - grains of sand into gold. In America there are 6000 hospitals each with an average of 70,000 health devices needing securing. That is 420,000,000 devices. If DA received USD1 per year for each device that would give DA a minimum enterprise value of USD 4 BILLION, equivalent to 400p for each share of Tern after dilution, bonuses etc. Add in the medical devices for the rest of the world and the industrial element f the whole world and your calculator breaks. OK, so that is the starter. The main course is WYLD Connect accompanied by WYLD Mesh. USD 132 BILLION satellite market now being worked by hungry signed up worldwide partners. Just 1 percent of this market makes WYLD worth GBP 10 BILLION - about 2000p per Tern share after dilution and well deserved bonuses. WYLD Mesh may end up equally as large. And just in case your appetite is not satisfied, FVR is up for desert, TM for after dinner top top shelf liquors and INVMA to give your server their biggest tip ever. I think Wallet Investor is on the right track for the potential future share price of this amazing company. Thank you to the directors for their experience, foresight and ability in putting together this compilation of disruptive business models | andrbea
18/6/2021 12:01 | Well, if DA gets sold by the summer break eg 22.7.21, then these quiet days now will go down as the darkest days before the dawn. It's been a long wait (6 years) but the celestial alignment now couldn't be more perfect: Legacy IoT devices need securing, Azure Sphere don't do that. Automated device lifecycle management, at GREAT scale, agnostically. Securing 100000 devices is hard (said Entrust). Azure Sphere don't offer that (just the 1 minute onboarding of devices). On a one-to-one basis. Darron says that 70% of the IoT income lies in that lifecycle part (10-15 years). Critical infrastructure operators (oil&gas, hospitals, food chain) need answers now. Biden's EO wants answers (proposals) from oil&gas by 28.6.21, on how they'll combat ransomware. Or else. FIDO IoT standard (Global !!). A marketing drive underway by FIDO to OEMs and DEV-OPers. ABI Research brackets DA alongside the giants in IoT Medigate - the latest big name - to recommend DA. Microsoft has a $136bn war chest (April 2021) for M&A activity, and is focusing on IoMT. ... cue storm clouds on the horizon ... just waiting for the lightning strike .... | andrbea
18/6/2021 11:58 | With iot security more in focus than ever before DA looks like it could clean up !! What value for lifetime security provision for each device in line with Fido standards and Biden zero trust requirements? | still waiting
