bluster - IG or the stockmarket? TCM is on SETS so the bid and offer levels are whatever is on the book. I don't know the rule set for when there are buy order or no sell orders. If there are sell orders but no buy orders then you've got yourself a crash. I have plenty of obscure stocks in my US market datasets which may have no trades in a day, in which case there is no OHLC to price and thus a blank day. Generally speaking when the book is short on one side or another the spread increases until there is a trade. If there are trades and they all happen at e.g. 130p then we congratulate the participants on their perfect price discovery!

The way it tightens around 130p, it seems there is no motivation to push in either direction.
