03/4/2017 10:08 | Dont fret the trading update comes early this year -Wednesday and no doubt JDS due to their hardwork during a difficult years will inform us that profits are likely to exceed expectations .As he does every year. More importantly informing us that those bumper profitsfor 17/18 which the market seems to think wont materialise hav been caredfully preserved Expect further news of another exciting site acquiistion too | hillofwad
03/4/2017 09:54 | Quite right 1gw | gp1948
03/4/2017 09:14 | Old Mutual went to 1.17% short on 28th Feb, not 28th March, didn't they? And saying that they are "the only II left..." is not saying a lot as there have only ever been 2 on the FCA spreadsheet, and the other one (GSA Capital Partners) has only ever declared positions of 0.49%, 0.50% and 0.51% (i.e. fractionally under or fractionally over the 0.5% threshold). | 1gw
30/3/2017 14:09 | Indeed, Old Mutual have accelerated the closure of their short over the last 6 weeks: now the only II left with a disclosed position. 13 Feb 1.55% 27 Feb 1.46% 28 Mar 1.17% | mount teide
30/3/2017 13:51 | Looks like OML reduced their short on the 28th | owenski
29/3/2017 14:00 | Brief audio interview with CEO Jon Di-Stefano... Telford Homes Plc: Fourth Build to Rent sale for £53.7m - | speedsgh
29/3/2017 09:25 | Possibly a template for a repeat deal on phase 2. Also good news that Phase 1 expected to complete next year, so very visible earnings. I wonder how quickly the next note from Equity Development will pop up. | james188
29/3/2017 08:50 | Yes perfect timing just before year end Great balance between risk/reward putting some hay in the barn but retaining a number for private sale completing in 2019 This was an inhouse deal unlikely to have been shipped out to a third party party like M&G Notting Hill their partner in Gallions Reach but unlikely to go down a similar route as Notting Hill have extensive land holdings immedaitely adjacent | hillofwad
29/3/2017 08:36 | This morning's announcement seems to have gone unremarked here so far, but it's another very positive piece of news for this go-ahead little company. | gp1948
22/3/2017 15:33 | Also strong write up of inl by investors chronicle today. Seems the recognition that the sector is undervalued is growing apace. | shaker44
21/3/2017 13:19 | Hopefully we will recive news of the 4th PRS sale very soon and news on the new site they have been negotaiting on and maybe a new launch The recent Help To Buy event for Bermondsey Wharf put 5 of the 13 on offer reserved in a couple of weeks which is encouraging The residual apartments at Manhattan and Bermondsey will be be hard to shift but since they have already stacked up so much hay in the barn with forward sales they can easily afford to discount heavily if necessary with only a very minimal effect on profits coming through Berkeley shares sailing away and with M&A activity in the sector too the AIM gem TEF is the perfect place to be | hillofwad
21/3/2017 13:08 | I bought 5,700 shares and managed to get the offer price but it's not that liquid. This is very much a long term holding, being in an ISA and exempt from IHT after two years. | jimbowen30
21/3/2017 12:42 | welcome jb. i keep looking for a dip to buy some more but the dips aren`t very deep or long lasting .... not that im complaining ! m | maurillac
21/3/2017 12:09 | Good luck with those JB. I speak as a holder myself, so perhaps my view is biased, but I think that TEF is the outstanding pick of the sector. TEF are due to give an update on the current trading on April 12th - their financial year ends on March 31st. The recent update from BKG was quite upbeat and I am expecting the same from TEF. The analysts are forecasting a 30% growth in EPS for next year. Best in sector by some margin I believe. | gp1948
21/3/2017 11:23 | Yes JB, a quite corner of the garden to be sure This report from is a morale booster | pillion
21/3/2017 11:20 | Just bought an initial chunk. It's quiet on here! | jimbowen30
04/3/2017 16:22 | Yes I agree !!Thats a pure guess ,mind | hillofwad
04/3/2017 16:09 | Thanks. Seems an odd position to me to long other builders and short telford, who are probably the smartest, best placed, most undervalued... | shaker44
04/3/2017 15:51 | Shaker They started the short in May 2016 so its definitely under water It was probably just a hedge on their longs with other housebuilders I guess with all the positive results from the sector they have felt it was safe to start closing down hxxp://shorttracker. You can see how they have built their position up | hillofwad
04/3/2017 14:15 | Hope Old Mutual get burned!! | shaker44
04/3/2017 13:31 | Thanks for those details hillofwad - I think we can look forward to some advancement of the share price over the coming months. | gp1948
04/3/2017 13:17 | gp1948Yes I agree a lot to like unlikely to be any unpleasant surprises from a company which is never prone to hyperbole, always delivered moving the company up the leaderboard in exemplary fashion and now entering the completion stages of some major presold developments Private sales of the few remaining units have unsuprisingly been a little slow of late compared to the frenetic pace of recent years late but next week they are holding an event aimed at the owner-occupier for Bermondsey Works looking to use the deposits on offer under London Help 2 Buy . A previous untapped audience for this development as they are prevented from processing interest more than 6 months off completion No doubt TEF sales team will be doing everything they can to get some of these last units over the linen Plenty to look foward to the future as s guided expect to hear any day of the 4th major PRS sector sale Very attractive indeed of a company occupying a pivotal position with private /public sector crossover and a portfolio to die for Old Mutual who had built up a1.6% short position has been reducing of late now down to 1.17% which all helps the cause | hillofwad
04/3/2017 12:23 | As we approach Telford's financial year end (31st March) I note that estimates of EPS for this year and the following two years have been tweaked upwards slightly by analysts so I conclude that there will be no unpleasant surprises in the trading update on 12th April or in the final results due to be announced on 31st May. Forecasts are as follows: Y/E 31Mar2017 - EPS = 35.7p; P/E = 9.76 Y/E 31Mar2018 - EPS = 46.5p; P/E = 7.49 Y/E 31Mar2019 - EPS = 55.3p; P/E - 6.30 TEF offers a very attractive dividend too - 4.4% this year, rising to an estimated 5.4% in 2019. All figures based on Friday's closing price of 348.5p. A very well run company and an attractive investment proposition IMHO - I topped up my holding last week. | gp1948 |
