06/4/2017 08:29 | Booming Telford Homes wants clarity on Brexit - ...“It would help immensely if the government could achieve clarity sooner rather than later on whether EU nationals working in London construction can stay after we leave. “If the industry was to suddenly lose thousands of workers, that would slow down housebuilding. We need to have the ability to at least maintain current levels of building, with the focus really needing to be on a significant increase.” | speedsgh

05/4/2017 19:12 | stpalm - So long as the wider markets hold up, I see TEF as a solid hold with attractive growing income to boot. The company/board are a class act imo. The elephant in the room is of course Brexit which appears to have had little effect on the wider housing market to date. Remains to be seen the extent (if any) of job losses resulting from Brexit (whether due to loss of trade or transfer of jobs to centres within the EU) and the resultant impact on house buyer sentiment within the capital and the regions. I would imagine that it is bound to have some impact but knowing when is a whole different matter. Aimho. | speedsgh

05/4/2017 09:17 | Yet another in the unbroken pipeline of trading updates set out in a very quiet fashion which have appeared for the last 6 years where they always deliver and some Cleverly put some hay in the barn with the IPRS sales and kept the company chequebook in the safe over the last 2 years for new site There isnt a better managed ousebuilding company Clearly been working overtime on a large site since last year no doubt with a partner in tow -probably already derisked beforethe paperwork is signed More deals to be done ewith Notting Hill Forecasted Profits for next year will be met with mopping up the last sales at Manhattan and Bermondsey What a cheap entry price to London Real Estate | hillofwad
05/4/2017 08:54 | As far as I'm aware, TEF only operate in the London area and have no interest elsewhere. I think Skyship might have posted on the wrong board? | gp1948
05/4/2017 08:39 | Hi SKY - What is their liability in Aberdeen? | speedsgh
05/4/2017 06:56 | I agree that it is a decent update. That said, I see that the development pipeline has reduced quite significantly (it exceeded £1.5 billion of future revenue at end March 2016. The forward sales figure has also dropped. That appears to be because the company has resisted paying inflated prices for land. The comments on deals under negotiation suggest that the pipeline should increase again fairly soon. I like the fact that they are not getting carried away and chasing deals just for the sake of doing them. | james188

05/4/2017 06:29 | good solid update and reaffirms guidance for 2018 and 19. ( Market expectations are already in excess of £40m and £50m respectively) as well as 2017 slightly ahead of expectations.(expect So, dividend safe and growth reconfirmed and debt at low levels. Thumbs up. | muscletrade
04/4/2017 14:06 | Sell or hold asks stpalm. I'm a holder, for a number of reasons. Firstly, it's a very well-run company and I have faith in the management who have never disappointed me. Secondly, take a look at the chart. The downtrend which started about May 2015, and affected all housebuilders not just TEF, seems to have ended post Brexit and we're now firmly back into an uptrend. Thirdly, TEF's current year (just begun) is projected to give a 30% increase in earnings per share with respect to last year - this is by far the highest in the sector and puts TEF on a P/E of less than 8 which is quite undemanding. Fourthly, the dividend is quite generous - more than 4%. I could go on, but I think you get the picture. An update from the company is scheduled for tomorrow which will offer more insight. | gp1948
04/4/2017 13:41 | Lets hope he does a better job on TEF than he did on ESR. | shanklin
04/4/2017 13:02 | stpalm - ST has updated on TEF in his article on the IC website today (see link below). He has maintained his 375p target but stated that it may well be exceeded. Hardly an exacting target seeing as the current price is c365p! | speedsgh |
