The good news os the market swallowed the divi without a corresponding drop. So in effect the underlying share price increased by the value if the divi. And we're up today too.

Yep loads of times both on shares and spread bets. These is definitely inconsistent information about on this one - so I am just holding what shares I have and had assumed it went ex divi this morning but definitely dyor!

It 'goes' ex-div today. That means that when they come to process the div. sometime before August, your name will be well and truly on the register. They do not update the whole register in one day which would probably be impossible but would certainly be unnecessary. You hold today you get the div..
If in doubt, phone the registrar or company secretary's office. I wouldn't take advice on this sort of thing from anyone on a bulletin board (including me :¬)

No worries - I figured that the price drop of 20p was the x div but the company rns is confusing as it suggests I can but up till tomorrow evening and get the divi !
