Market makers starting to up the offer on L2 which suggests the exchange between buyer and seller is complete... Both the overhead downtrend and 100 DMA sit at 485p so plenty of room for a significant bounce a la March (440p - 595p).

Still looks like a seller out there, lots of buys this morning but no move up. Market makers not budging either

Clearly a large overhang and those largish trades are the buys (effectively placed off-market with buyers).

https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/record-year-for-worms-developer-team17-despite-hit-from-ukraine-vrkvj2g6rRecord year for Worms developer Team17 despite hit from UkraineDominic WalshThursday March 31 2022, 12.01am BST, The TimesWorms has sold more than 75?million copies for the group, which had been due to release new games developed in UkraineWorms has sold more than 75?million copies for the group, which had been due to release new games developed in UkraineThe games studio behind the Worms franchise reported record full-year results yesterday but its shares took a beating after a hit from the war in Ukraine.Team17 said that on top of the closure of platform sales to Russia and Belarus, there was uncertainty over the planned release of two games from its two development partners in Ukraine. It said that one of its partners had insisted on pressing ahead with the release this year. As a result the group had decided it would donate a proportion of its profit from the title to humanitarian aid. The other title was unlikely to be released this year. The knock-on effect of the war could cost it about £4 million of revenue and £2.5 million of operating profit. It had also committed to provide financial support to a small quality assurance team linked to Astragon, a games developer it acquired in January. The hit from the war took the edge off full-year results showing pre-tax profits up 11 per cent to £29.1 million in the year to the end of December.Revenue over the period rose by 9 per cent to £90.5 million as the company released 12 new games.Shares in Team17 rocketed after they were listed at 165p almost four years ago, peaking at 890p as Covid lockdowns created a surge in demand for gaming at home. However, they have since come off the boil, shedding another 40p, or 6.8 per cent, yesterday to 550p.Team 17 was founded in Wakefield in 1990 by Debbie Bestwick, its chief executive, with five colleagues, and five years later the company released Worms, which has sold more than 75 million copies.Bestwick, 59, led a management buyout in 2011 and listed Team17 on Aim in 2018. It publishes games developed by independent studios as well as its own titles, some of which are categorised as "edutainment", educational entertainment for children.Since the 2021 year-end, the company has completed three strategic acquisitions, including Astragon, for a combined initial total of £112 million. To fund the Astragon deal it raised £78.6 million in January via a placing of shares at 714p.Despite the "unforeseen headwinds" relating to Ukraine, the group insisted it remained "well-positioned to continue to deliver on our growth plans".

https://citywire.com/funds-insider/news/expert-view-hargreaves-lansdown-polymetal-bloomsbury-team17-and-strix/Berenberg cuts Team17's price target but maintains 'buy'Video game developer Team17 (TM17) continues to have positive prospects after strong 2021 results, with an attractive pipeline of new titles coming this year, says Berenberg analyst Benjamin May.Although two games developed in Ukrainian studios have been removed from forecasts, the publishing business is 'exciting' and recent acquisitions are still anticipated to deliver strong growth rates.May maintained a 'buy' recommendation but cut his price target to 800p, after a loss of revenue from the closure of platforms in Russia and Belarus. However, he remains 'convinced' of its future trajectory.'With a pipeline of eight titles already announced for 2022, which appear to show a step-up in production quality too, we are excited by the group's publishing business,' he said. The company has faced some negative reports of poor working conditions in industry press. However, May pointed to the company proactively raising salaries in response to inflation and is taking steps to ensure staff are made shareholders.'Overall, we believe management has listened to shareholders' requests for more disclosure on these topics, and continues to show that the company is a market leader with regard to employee wellbeing,' added May.The shares slumped 6.8% to close at 550p on Wednesday.

I suspect a few PI's will bail out, some with a hole in their investments.
They would see the slowdown in growth as a persisting negative going forward.

I’m not too impressed by the results. Wasn’t much impressed by 2020 either.

Growing by acquisition only.

It’s good that their cash is still strong, and that’s they are actually growing, and that they made 3 acquisitions already in 2022 (I think). However, it’s a slowdown from where they were pre-pandemic.

I’ll hold on to my shares, but am not adding.

Good results announced on a weaker day for growth stocks.

It's a volatile stock isn't it..

Does not negate the good results though.

Gotta be worried about those results huh. Given all the ramping by the company in January unless they are totally stellar, this is going to drop massively.

...from last month...

Company overview:

Team17 plc encompasses departments engaged in developing video games label for independent game retailers worldwide. Given the rising demand for videogames during the pandemic, the firm is likely to trade above expectations and exceed its previous operating profit of £14,001. Despite the plausible profitability forecasts, the firm’s stock price is likely to surge further, as illustrated by its high P/B ratio of 8.8x, which is above the communication services P/E ratio of 5.5x, hence organic growth will be reflected on optimised operating profits.  available for investors to buy the stock.

Brief Analysis:

P/B = 8.8, above sector benchmark.
Operating profit of £14,001m....

Some holders looked at the recent press on NFT, quality assurance and thought the price was 'Overcooked', and decided to sell being true 'Survivalists'.

Stock technical analysts looked at the charts and thought that something was about to happen and decided Black Matter's (before) Hell Let Loose.
