"Democracy is 52% leave determine the outcome. Remain has no say.
Precisely how elections have worked in this country."

But elections run at least every 5 years and we allow an opposition government to influence policy. That is democracy.

Not ageist at all WBecki.

Anyone look at WBecki's profile? Very disturbing. Not a healthy mind there, for sure.

The so-called pro-democratic Brexiters bang on about democracy but if they don't get their own way we need to be ready for mob rule or spilt blood.

Am I missing something here? LOL

What a div you are. Democracy is about the majority dictate policy, those that loose the vote simply loose out. With people like you democracy will die and mob rule will take over.

Sterling is a tad weaker but once the ERG and DUP came out in favour of the Moody amendment this evening, the rest of the amendment votes were reasonably predictable. No Deal seems to be off the table albeit May is reminding that agreeing a deal is the only way you can ultimately eliminate a No Deal possibility. The thing is,a NO DEAL implicitly means a hard border in Ireland. Thus, the UK is actually between a rock and a hard place.Who knows, but I tend to have faith in the view of Ken Clarke who predicted some weeks back that while May's plan wouldn't get through on the first attempt,it would on the second. As a member of the SNP stated in parliament earlier, you wouldn't want to be the Government in power if a no deal occurred on March 29.Memories will be long and frankly I think the Tory party will be all but finished electorally. The ERG will have to be a wee bit more flexible.

C’mon girls, can we get back to discussing the effect of the state of play re effect on the share price of the building sector. There are plenty of Brexit leave / remain social media sites to vent personal opinions. £ falling so Market is not reassured by tonight’s parliamentary games. I guess the builders will be down tomorrow, and until we regain some consensus re not leaving without a deal it will likely stay that way.

"If it'd been 52% Remain, 48% Leave would Remain have considered the views and asprations of 48% of those who voted LEAVE."

Probably not, but we are not the idiots waxing lyrical about democracy, you are!

Democracy?Labour

Would that be the same democracy, sir, that attempted to circumnavigate Parliament using antiquated rules? Or perhaps the democracy that Labour also had to deliver, using a £1Bn Irish bung in order to stay in power?

Honestly, I've never seen such a farce in all my life.

Members of Parliament represent and work for their constituents and when their constituents have voted and told their representative in Parliament to carry out their will, that is to leave the EU, they expect that to happen. That is DEMOCRACY.

You have the "what" maybe but not the "how"?"

Easy - go read Baker MP's papers he has published for the How.

We voted LEAVE.

It must be delivered else democracy falls, amnd what follows unlikely to be pretty.

What LEAVE stood for Steelwatch was pretty obvious. Funny how it's only whiney Remoaners who claim no one knew what they voted for.

Many of us have waited decades to say NO FYI.

When the Greeks had a referendum about EU membership around three years ago, there were numerous options on the ballot paper qualifying a leave or stay vote. The UK was a simple YES or NO and in that respect, you can't really argue against an interpretation that entertains the extreme ie No Deal. However,it would be disingenuous not to recognise that the extremes of No Deal never really featured in the Leave campaign.Liam Fox stated that the EU negotiations would be "the easiest in human history",Boris Johnson spoke of "have your cake and eat it",Lafarge clucked that the Germans would roll over in a desperate bid to save a lucrative market for BMWs.Ridiculously optimistic statements,as ridiculous as the worst of project fear.No Deal was never seriously discussed and if it had been,I doubt Leave would have won the day.

In your opinion..."

Which part?

Incorrect. Both Remain and Leave were crystal clear what "LEave EU" stood for

- Leave Single Market
- Leave Customs Union
- End ECJ supremacy
- Take control of borders.

Take back control of laws, borders, trade and money
Crystal clear.

This part is indisputable fact - it was drummed into us by both sides during the campaign.
