I picked up a few more today, despite my misgivings re time of year!

It seems the row over spending in the US hasn't helped the markets either side of the pond, yet we know they'll eventually agree at the very last moment...Can't help but wonder just how much they make every time they do this to the markets.

It's a crazy market......folk so short sighted, still expect this to be 140 by next March and 200 by end 2014.......this is a no brainier longer term so just make the most of great buying opportunities like today.........interesting though to see my other house builder holding CRST up 1.6% today :-)

It's the comments by the vegetable Ed Miliband that have caused the recent decline. He says that those who own land should 'Use it or Lose it', which is completely ridiculous considering the reason it's not being used it because of all the red tape surrounding the planning processes.

He's missed the point that if the housebuilders could build on it profitably, and in a timely manner, then they would. In fact, this will probably hurt supermarkets more as they have extensive land banks

You might have thought that all the talk (and some evidence) of a recovering economy, heightened activity in the housing market and rising house prices would have offered more support for the share price.....

Little indication of that in the SP, but it was a passing comment, no more & no less!

But they part with the cash today, which is often the day the share price is adjusted!

No, share price is always adjusted on ex-dividend date.

Hardly worth falling out over.

Bottom line is the Directors don't appear to think the current share price has such great growth potential that they need to put some real cash into share purchasing, lets hope the Fund Managers think differently when we get over the usual September malaise!

If you read it you would see it was issued at 3.12pm and was in fact

SHARES ACQUIRED PURSUANT TO PARTICIPATION IN THE COMPANY'S DIVIDEND REINVESTMENT PLAN ("DRI Plan")

Yep last of the big spenders!

But wouldn't be nice to see them giving support to the share price at these levels by committing some real cash to buying shares !

OK Red, its not exactly a huge Dividend and it'll probably not impact on the share price but the current performance is pitiful enough to have a quick moan ;)
