17/9/2012 13:30 | Hi Ima I'm not in tw either mate. I waited for a bigger drop which never arrived after also selling too soon. Your style of buying is exactly the same as mine...(usual thing, buy - watch it fall, moan - buy some more, watch it fall etc etc) lol I decided to buy barc a few weeks back, has been good move. Will maintain my focus on barc now for the foreseeable future or until 260p-ish BOY did do well, never got into it as I never really researched it enough. VOD is on my radar too though. As we are still in September, I think many are wondering if the yearly history will repeat it's self as being a volatile month. After the ECB and FED's intervention in the economy - we may not get the volatility we really don't want. Here's hoping. | shaws37
17/9/2012 09:32 | shaws - no, I sold out at various prices around the 50p level. Won't buy back in for more than I sold for. It's not particuarly cheap (imho) on an earnings multiple/dividend yield basis (in fact bloody expensive on the yield basis, and I don't buy the 'average 10%' stuff on PSN and BKG, as that is simply converting net assets to cash and giving it to shareholders - all well and good, certainly nothing wrong with it, but not sustainable over the very long term and quoting it as a yield is misleading). So sold too soon (as always) but made up the difference and then some with a sojourn into the mining sector, which was timed very fortunately. Now casting around for something else - BG. looks a possibility, also like ADM, but for the moment (since Friday) am gradually cuddling up to VOD (usual thing, buy - watch it fall, moan - buy some more, watch it fall etc etc). (BOY done well, but can't win 'em all...) | imastu pidgitaswell
