omg48, the whole sector is weak atm, but that's not unusual for this time of the year imo.

The challenges facing HBs are not just ftse/TA related...

They face their own sector challenges, which are significant and not factored into the share price .. as previously mentioned.

Govn support ending - SD hol, furlough, evictions restarting.
New H2B for FtB only with regional price caps.
House prices too high, supporting a housing bubble. New Build prices fell in Jan/Feb, will the trend continue?

Potential inflationary pressues/interest rate rises.

Several providers not backing the guaranteed 95% mortgages on New Builds.

Leasehold/cladding challenges.

Looking at chart, 180p seemed to be resistance... the share price went above 180p for a few weeks before falling back... Doesn't look like
as expected.

The problem with the Dow it is about 50% over priced, the problem with the ftse, it is about 50% under priced!

Sat on the fence in terms of buying more at this price, if the dow continues south and taking the ftse with it i can see a lower share price of approx £1.65.
Purely a gut feeling i could be wrong and often are but the next few days should reveal whatever direction.

TBH, I think 200p will be the ceiling after they dumped another 355,000,000 new shares onto the market!

Tested the 170 support twice in recent trading. It is proving to be a good support. Once the current negativity subsides i can see TW moving in a 170-190 range. Should be some good opportunities to trade and either take profit or increase holding for the push above 200p later this year.

I've been trying to scrounge up a few quid but I can't get anything worthwhile.

Edit: I sold some Lloyds and bought a few more just over 169p.

There does seem some resilience in allowing these over £2 though. Hopefully once they eventually get there £2.20 will happen quickly.

Markets totally fickle and any excuse to drag the whole sectors down, inflation, chinese plague, relaxation on lifting restrictions, international travel.
The bloody list is never ending for the gloom and doomers.
No doubt will head back north eventually.

I guess I started buying these too soon because Today's drop has left my recent purchases +5% down, discounting dividends (because we always use them for holidays) it's also brought my total holding down to break-even.

Fortuitously my largest value holding LLOY, is currently +13.5% up so riding out the the summer hiatus on TW isn't going to have much of a effect :))

I suspect the additional 355,000,000 new shares are not helping sentiment here !
