It's max of £2500 per month. Depends on usual wage. Think it's 80% refund of full wage. If TW pay full salary they make up 20%. Can choose to only pay 80% in which case full refund up to max £2500.

Yes they will get the money back from the Government.

Don’t know but if TW furloughed staff and carried on paying them do they get the £2500 per month paid back to them by the government when it’s sorted ??? If so must be a few mill

I have never paid any attention to any price that Liberum put out. After Brexit they were calling Easyjet down and down. In some cases out by miles. The price went in the complete opposite direction, doubling in price.

If they are calling it lower then I fully expect to see 170p in the very near future ;-)

Liberum were always anti Tw for years, then positive & now negative DYOR.

JUG,
"obviously the boys that run the company & are on the frontline have a cleare view of where things are going"

We're 1 month into the lockdown. No one knows exactly when or what will happen. Hence why they are looking at Spain to see what happens there.

They have drawdown their credit facility so clearly believe they may need it at some time in the future. They haven't reinstated the dividend, so again trying to preserve cash.
What about the £100m or so that was outstanding for redress Ground rents following the leasehold scandal.

I'd expect people continued as normal during the 1st weeks or so, as could be seen by the thousands who went to the beaches/parks during the 1st week of the lockdown.

The HB are talking to the government to relax stamp duty, so they clearly have reservations about the future.

Nobody knows exactly what will happen and when.
It is early days.

Smartie6, although your view is contrary to the trend and my position....you at least seem to show a bit of humility. Of the thousands of opportunities out there I believe TW is one of the better. Like sleeping at night? Find a company like TW to invest in, wait ten years and you will be rewarded highly. People will go back to work, houses will sell and TW will carry on........when the div comes back we will shift into high gear. Swimming upstream is a bad idea. Find a boat and drift downstream.....it's that easy. Up now up nearly 50% in a few weeks from a part holding sold at @210. All the while people have been arguing and shouting nonsense around here. Happy days.

Not seen the lows yet, hopefully more to come. Thing is to be in something that has a long way to go upward. TW is pretty much back into last years trading range, which I reason is a little bit too ambitious without a reinstated divi. So I am hoping for some lower lows. Only Time will tell. But holding these long term is a no-brainer.

Hmm, I ve missed this rise, so will wait for another opportunity. Put my Money elsewhere today where I can trade out of market movements. Not all bad. Good luck to everyone here. ( I still have an interest here, just not as much as I did) Jug... good call mate. As they say, as safe as houses!

Glad to see Wimpey doing their bit to reopen the economy. Great study out this morning showing that 88% of people going on ventilators in NYC died and the fatality rate over 65% of those on ventilators was 97%. Totally ridiculous sacrificing the word economy for the sake of attempting to save a tiny minority of people who overwhelmingly are dying because of neglect of their own health in the first place. So I can OPEN THE ECONOMY NOW and well done Taylor Wimpey
