05/10/2021 23:27 | Further reading on community dropping objections “Town of Florence agrees to settle decade-long dispute with copper mine” | jbravo2
05/10/2021 22:38 | Thanks JB2. It's pretty interesting stuff | leopoldalcox
05/10/2021 21:43 | And an absolutely essential question to be answered for any new mine. The mine had previously faced objections from the community but as far as I’m aware they have been won round and dropped their planned objections months ago. The Aquifer permit was granted in December and on January 5th Taseko RNS’ed the following… “the Florence Town Council has decided it will not appeal the Aquifer Protection Permit (“APP”) which was recently granted by the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (“ADEQ”) I don’t see the community wanting anything other than the jobs this will supply now. That’s not to say some individuals won’t object or comment negatively but with the Town Council onside I think it will be irrelevant if some individuals do object. | jbravo2
05/10/2021 21:36 | JB2. Honest question: is there any risk of local communities delaying or stopping the development? | leopoldalcox
05/10/2021 19:47 | “Additionally, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency ("EPA") has advised Taseko that it intends to send a draft Underground Injection Control ("UIC") permit to the Company in mid-October and provide the Company with a two-week review period before the draft permit is formally issued, commencing the public comment period.” Tick tock. Countdown is commencing! | jbravo2
05/10/2021 16:25 | Fantastic news and as i had hoped and assumed we will fully fund Flo from existing cashflows rather than sell a stake. I have just topped up. FV discounted back to today is roughly a bagger IMO. Under the radar which is nice. | rimau1
05/10/2021 16:11 | Agreed.....patience hopefully will "out" the value DYOR | qs99
05/10/2021 15:20 | could see £1.80-£2 but with payback of only 2.5 years and a buoyant copper market, bigger gains to come... | sos100
05/10/2021 14:41 | Indeed....once permit on board any share price predictions? | qs99
05/10/2021 14:05 | Additionally, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency ("EPA") has advised Taseko that it intends to send a draft Underground Injection Control ("UIC") permit to the Company in mid-October and provide the Company with a two-week review period before the draft permit is formally issued, commencing the public comment period. Mr. McDonald continued, "The UIC permit is the final permitting step required prior to construction of Florence Copper, and the EPA continues to make progress towards finalizing the permit with no significant issues raised to-date. Receipt of the draft permit will represent another significant step towards Florence Copper being fully permitted and ready for construction." -- not long to wait for the permit.. | sos100
05/10/2021 13:41 | Cracking update....slowly surely.... DYOR | qs99
01/10/2021 00:06 | Yes, all things mining seem to take forever, patience is the greatest virtue.. | baddeal
30/9/2021 13:47 | Were we not supposed to have an update on the Florence permit by today? | paulo435
17/9/2021 11:42 | Seems we are gathering a little momentum here in anticipation of news within next few weeks. Be good to break return to 150 very shortly | paulo435

05/9/2021 21:11 | Ready to rock n roll | jbravo2
23/8/2021 22:55 | Well that dip the last week has been delicious. Added to my s/b on the US market. Can’t be far off news now. September nailed on IMO | jbravo2
05/8/2021 13:18 | Well we’ll find out soon enough, expect project finance to be concluded in Q3. | rimau1
05/8/2021 13:10 | They said before that they like to see the new mine take full value straight away, and it certainly does that if you sell 25% of it… so long as the price you get is a good one of course. I too would prefer they kept it all but I don’t mind them selling 25% so long as they get several bidders to get top price. It’s not like the money won’t be useful on the pipeline of projects | jbravo2
05/8/2021 11:59 | Why do you think that JBravo? The goal posts have shifted in the last 6-9 months. Given the price protection they have put in place and the $226m cash on hand (at June so $250m now) why would they sell a minority stake when the project cost of Flo is $230m? Copper is a one way bet. I would be disappointed if they don’t retain 100%. Payback is in 2.5 years so they will be raking in the cash to then finance yellowhead. I would only accept a minority sale if another strategic acquisition that was compelling enough presented itself and or they decided to diversify away from Copper. | rimau1
05/8/2021 10:52 | I think they’ll still sell 25% of Flo for the reasons they’ve mentioned before. Fine by me so long as it’s top price. Should be, with the current mood on copper. | jbravo2
05/8/2021 10:47 | Very strong position, H2 looking very good as well. Seems confident on Florence and looks like the majority of it will be held given the strong cash flow. Lovely. | aim0raider |
