15/4/2009 20:31 | I think this bit of today's announcement is interesting... "It is the intention of the Board to ensure that all shareholders are treated equally in the event of a full and fair formal offer to all the shareholders of the Company." Does this imply something is going on?? Why Gemfields are still trying to scupper this resolution, given they are no longer interested in bidding all seems very bizarre. Still no results. All quite odd. Anyone know what's going on? / have any ideas? | topvest

23/3/2009 19:37 | Looks Like there is no set date I thought they had to be submitted within six months of your year end date which was Dec 31 a far as I am aware. In the past dates have ranged from 6 March to 6 April see below 6 March 2008 The Final results were released on 6 March last year for the year ending 31 Dec 2007. The dividend was 7 cents for holders registered on 28 March payed on 25 Apl 19 March 2007 The Directors declared a final dividend of 6 cents (2005: 5 cents) per share payable on 23rd April 2007 to shareholders registered on 2nd April 2007. 6 Apl 2006 US 5 cents per share final dividend declared on 5 April 2006, payable on 26 May 2006 the total for the year to US 6 cents | ch1ck
12/3/2009 21:16 | Looks to me like this will be delayed this year, to get the general meeting out the way first. Have to wait and see. It's all been very quiet. | topvest
12/3/2009 18:36 | I was under the impression that the finals were on the 6th March 2009. I have had no reply from Nick Bias at investor relations either by phone or email. The offices in Joburg seem not to know anything as to who handles what. Does anyone know when the finals are released and therefore the dividend news as well? Profitable trading to all | jasonsharland
09/3/2009 21:22 | Gemfields now 3.5p - certainly glad (at the moment) I didn't accept Gemfield's shares in the offer - should have sold for cash though! | hosede

13/2/2009 08:33 | Topped up with some more shares over the last two days, current yield 26.5%. This looks like excelent value and we could see a quick bounce to 40p | ch1ck
12/2/2009 07:47 | Topvest If the company do pay a dividend then it should be arround the same time as last year and was announced in the Final Report. See below. The Directors have declared a final dividend of 7 cents (2006: 6 cents) per share payable on 25 April 2008 to shareholders registered on 28 March 2008. This brings the total dividend payable for the year ended 31 December 2007 to 10 cents, an increase of 25% over the previous year. | ch1ck
07/2/2009 09:28 | Yes, good point. Results were at the start of March last year. Have they set a results date? | topvest
07/2/2009 09:06 | Looked at the stock today and I think we will see some buying over the next few weeks in the run up to the dividend. If the market rally we are seeing holds on to the recent gains and continues for the next two weeks we will see some of the side line cash coming back in to the market. If we see a volume spike I will get back in for some more. | ch1ck
13/1/2009 22:20 | It's all gone very quiet of late which is odd. We were due to receive proposals from the board, but they were never received. Something is going on..good or bad. | topvest
12/1/2009 23:18 | Ok Guys I have not posted here for a while but but I revisited this stock today and to be honest it does not look rosy even if the price is half of the tender offer of 45p. The price may be justified with the cash and equivalent figure falling from £12.935 mil to half year figure of £3.198 mil. Ok they are mining more ore but carats per tonne has reduced from 78 to 54 but H1 demand was high. Full year figures are worth waiting for before I invest any real cash as labour costs and a threat to the dividend looks like it would weaken the price further. However having said that levels look interesting and any good news will probably double the share price. Watching for volume and price movement in the weeks before the full year report is published. one for the brave Safe trading | ch1ck
04/12/2008 18:18 | Who knows...this seems to be a story of two underhand groups trying to leg each other over! | topvest
