bsiboy but I guess it is effectively a merger rather than a takeover....What I find unbelievable is that there were people willing to sell in the 30p region

A nice bidding war would be welcome though. Anybody have any thoughts on as to whether any other miners would be interested.

i think this company is about to be stolen from us
i do not see how the board can support an offer at even twice that tabled

gem looks a rubbish company to me i think this is just opportunistic
still we need a white night and one may not be forth coming in current market.

What bid price then?

After thaty bid news someone has been buying 2.5m at 45p so I guess the bid will be well north of that?

two more million + buys today - looks like someone is building a serious stake -this is flying in the face of most small miners that have been plummetting recently.

45p! ARE THEY JOKING?

These were £2.75 at peak; now they're a profitable, high-divi paying, high asset-backed co that GEM are trying to steal!

I am hoping this will cut back to allow another top up. Todays rise in the US was disapointing with a weak finish so we may see the uk up tomorrow.

This stock may cut back if it does not,I see this as a strong signal

Yes, that's big. I averaged down by doubling my holding today. This is a very cheap stock given its world class asset and strong profitability. Maybe the large buy will have cleared any overhang. Bit surprising it didn't go up more with a buy that size!

I think it's just dying thru lack of interest - but there remains the posibility of political interference - Just sit it out and see what happens!! But anything more than 1-2% of your total portfolio is madness (IMO)

There appears to be quite a lot of artificially made Tanzanite on sale and not just in the UK

I also note that some is being made in Russia

Has anybody looked into this ?

It exists
eg

The word's artificial or man made are shunned somewhat

What seems to be in vogue is 'created tanzanite'

Tanzanite One buys Lemshuku-Shamberai Tsavorite Project for 5.95 mln stg

LONDON (Thomson Financial) - AIM-listed miner Tanzanite One Ltd said it has
entered into an asset sale and purchase agreement with each of Kirkwood
Resources (Tanzania) Ltd and Green Hill Mining Company Ltd to acquire certain
assets constituting the Lemshuku-Shamberai Tsavorite Project for about 5.95 mln
stg in shares and cash.
The payment comprises 7.45 mln shares in Tanzanite One and 350,000 usd in
cash, to be paid on completion.
The company said the project comprises 12 prospecting licenses covering 100
square kilometres and could potentially represent the largest known
single-source of tsavorite, a green grossular garnet.
