13/9/2008 06:49 | bsiboy but I guess it is effectively a merger rather than a takeover....What I find unbelievable is that there were people willing to sell in the 30p region | currypata kai
12/9/2008 17:37 | A nice bidding war would be welcome though. Anybody have any thoughts on as to whether any other miners would be interested. | malcolme2
12/9/2008 17:27 | i think this company is about to be stolen from us i do not see how the board can support an offer at even twice that tabled gem looks a rubbish company to me i think this is just opportunistic still we need a white night and one may not be forth coming in current market. | bisiboy
12/9/2008 15:52 | What bid price then? After thaty bid news someone has been buying 2.5m at 45p so I guess the bid will be well north of that? CR | cockneyrebel

12/9/2008 11:09 | two more million + buys today - looks like someone is building a serious stake -this is flying in the face of most small miners that have been plummetting recently. | hosede
12/9/2008 07:50 | 45p! ARE THEY JOKING? These were £2.75 at peak; now they're a profitable, high-divi paying, high asset-backed co that GEM are trying to steal! | spectoacc
11/9/2008 22:42 | I am hoping this will cut back to allow another top up. Todays rise in the US was disapointing with a weak finish so we may see the uk up tomorrow. This stock may cut back if it does not,I see this as a strong signal | ch1ck

01/9/2008 19:51 | Yes, that's big. I averaged down by doubling my holding today. This is a very cheap stock given its world class asset and strong profitability. Maybe the large buy will have cleared any overhang. Bit surprising it didn't go up more with a buy that size! | topvest
01/9/2008 16:56 | wow ! looks like a 7.5 million buy | currypata kai

23/8/2008 20:34 | bisiboy I think it's just dying thru lack of interest - but there remains the posibility of political interference - Just sit it out and see what happens!! But anything more than 1-2% of your total portfolio is madness (IMO) | hosede
