11/8/2008 18:14 | Curry What's not appropiate I dont understand? My buy price was 30p and I have got that so I am happy. I can't see these going bust and the up side potential is greater than the down side. I tend to trade ahead of the crowd so make bigger gains and some times losses but its working for me with my Portfolio up 35% since April. If I was on this stock all the time I would be able to call the buy but I am not so it based on news flow, the chart and experiance. By the way what's your position do you hold or are you a shorter or sitting on the side lines? | ch1ck
11/8/2008 15:45 | ch1ck while I am cautiously optimistic re this company i dont think it is appropriate given the economic environment going on last years figures | currypata kai

22/7/2008 22:13 | Lets hope it doesn't happen. I think they have got a good record and so it should be renewed. | topvest
21/7/2008 16:32 | whta would be the consequences of their licence not being renewed.would they be compensated ? | currypata kai
17/7/2008 21:36 | Mine haven't arrived yet; did they arrive recently? The only risk is that their licence is not renewed. Think this is unlikely given their good performance. Otherwise, I would agree that they are very cheap...as almost everything at the moment! | topvest

04/6/2008 07:51 | Dasein, my remarks weren't aimed at you but 2buywell (who pointlessly reposted your remarks twice) and his unwarranted speculations about nationalisation. Your remarks are thoughtful and worthy of serious consideration. You answer your own questions about mining taxes. In any case the threat seemed to have been mainly aimed at Tanzania's gold miners, international rather than Tanzanian companies. The SA links are historic and in terms of personnel as much anything but the corporate structure still lists part of the company in SA. In fact the overall holding company is incorporated in Bermuda (make of that what you will), so in one major way it's not really Tanzanian either. It is indeed its monopoly and dividend that are really interesting. The political risk is lower than elsewhere in Africa. I think the shares are low because it's mining company but not one dealing in commodities hence there's a risk of reduced Tanzanite sales in a recession. But the longer term outlook as you suggest seems good. As to the roof restoration fund it is indeed an ecumenical matter, the money is simply resting in my account at the moment. | rev chadband |
