07/12/2021 08:21 | Agreed - better investor comms will benefit TND in due course. Disclsoure is more useful as well as more frequent. | 18bt
07/12/2021 08:18 | TND certainly upped their game in terms of keeping shareholders informed. In past years, there was not normally any update between H1 results in September and a post EoY TS in February. This year, we have a bonus TS in December and the post EoY TS will be in January :-) | shanklin
07/12/2021 08:17 | Harrogate, i think its better than that. The USD and freight costs have hit Q4, did anyone think we would be at a USD/£ of £1.31!! So i don’t think expectations were as high as they were 3 months ago. My read on the TU is that there will be a small earnings beat but management are being understandably cautious on forward guidance given the numerous unknowns over the next 4 weeks. I will be topping up if we take a significant hit this morning. | rimau1
07/12/2021 07:45 | Think there will be more than a little disappointment that we are only in-line. Much expectation that we would beat fairly easily given H1 numbers. Not sure where this leaves us. Not expensive for sure but not knocking it out of the park. Will be interesting to see what 2022 looks like | harrogate
07/12/2021 07:37 | Very pleased with this update. | balcony
07/12/2021 07:37 | Solid set of numbers, no shocks and revenue up nicely. Progress on the new warehouse site which bodes well for the future | our haven
07/12/2021 07:09 | TU: Growth accelerated in Q3, broadly flat in Q4 so far after "particularly strong" comparative period in 2020. | zho
30/11/2021 01:22 | Ben Sayers club sets are popular with early stage golfers and very affordable | davidosh
29/11/2021 17:58 | Golf has proved a growth sport during COVID and they have the Ben Sayers line. Hopefully they have shared in the growth. B. | battyliveson
29/11/2021 12:24 | Faster than supply coming in. Bikes whilst important and not the only part of the business. Toys are huge at this stage. | castleford tiger
29/11/2021 11:02 | Anybody heard news on how bike sales are going in the run-up to xmas? | grahamnash
29/11/2021 08:50 | Looks crazy cheap again | castleford tiger
26/11/2021 20:00 | And the market wobbles | castleford tiger
17/11/2021 13:48 | Nobody selling now. Impossible to buy stock. The 725 old high should fall | castleford tiger

10/11/2021 10:54 | Think its too late for the Xmas period. If they are not here now its getting very late. tiger | castleford tiger
10/11/2021 08:45 | Very positive read across from HFD who state today that supply chain issues are receding. Thats highly significant IMO in the lead up to xmas. | rimau1
10/11/2021 07:52 | Well last time Tandem significantly outperformed Halfords so I would suggest that this is very good news for Tandem. | rcturner2
10/11/2021 07:38 | Halfords have reported this morning:- ...from which there may, or may not, be a read across. Cycling and ebikes seem to be doing satisfactorily but there are inevitable references to supply issues:- Cycling growth of +8.8%, despite the known supply chain disruption. In cycling, demand levels remain good, and we are pleased with the current availability of kids bikes and e-bikes as we head into the Christmas trading period Retail Cycling +8.8% and LFL 25.3%, with our award-winning own brand ranges of premium and electric bikes continuing to see high levels of demand, despite supply chain issues. Etc, etc. Does anyone have a feel how TND will compare with the HFD juggernaut? Is it smaller and more nimble and can do even better than them with the supply issue? Or smaller and therefore don't have the clout, so will do less well? | cwa1
08/11/2021 09:23 | Agreed, an excellent set of credentials to help Tandem move forwards. "Peter Kimberley brings with him more than 30 years retail experience across a number of sectors including the cycle retail sector with specific experience in the e-mobility retail market - most recently as Chief Executive Officer of Pure Electric Limited, a retailer of e-bikes and e-scooters in the UK and Europe. Peter was previously Managing Director of Cycle Republic, Tredz and Boardman Bikes within Halfords Group PLC between 2013 and 2020 and Head of Retail for Evans Cycles between 2009 and 2013." | w13ken
08/11/2021 09:16 | This is a great addition to the board. Excellent CV and time to run. To buy 10,000 shares that’s the quote I got. Tiger | castleford tiger
08/11/2021 08:16 | Like the sound of the new appointment:- Also this bit in the announcement makes them sound unusually upbeat(or do I just have my rose tinteds on?) :-) "We are delighted to welcome Peter to the Board as demand for a broad range of e-mobility products increases. Peter's significant experience both across the retail cycle industry and in scaling e-mobility focussed business will add significant value and the Board very much looks forward to working with Peter at what is an exciting time for Tandem." | cwa1 |
